I don't log on to YouTube and I use Adblocker Plus. When I clean my cache and restart, all my YouTube history is cleared. So in a way, I have customized YouTube the way I want it. I don't need to make comments on videos. So it is all good.
You can also watch YT ad free on Brave.
I have Brave but never noticed it because I have always used Adblocker Plus for free. Once in awhile YT puts up a fuss but I manage to work around their objections. They can go pound sand.
Have you tried Ublock Origin instead of Adblock Plus? Fellow nerds recommend it as it has better performance. I've never had any issues with Youtube adblocking using it. Never see any ads.
Unlock Origin is so good, Google is trying to hobble it in Chrome. I use Ungoogled Chromium, so that Google’s mitts are off my browser.

I decided to give Freetube a shot.. as of 4 hours ago it no longer works. Just my luck. lol
I'll keep an eye on it and see if they come out with a fix. Apparently it's pretty much a game of cat and mouse with Youtube breaking it and the devs working around it. 🤷 Thanks for the recommendation though!

The question to ask is: is any of this video true?
I have seen several where Musk cut off Europe or Nigel Farage convinces the King to sack the prime minister etc but none are actually true. They just appeal to our "what we would like to see" feelings.
I agree. I have no way of confirming it. Be suspicious of ANY AI generated "information".
I'm very skeptical of the YT thumbnails that reference the timing ... that "4 seconds ago" banner will stay on for weeks.
