I have a Chemex system, and the filters have to be inserted and the grounds put in and then the HOT water added...DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE E-COLI OR OTHER JUNK!!!!!!
Do these people ever clean their machines? Run vinegar through them periodically. Wash the plastic tank. Been using one for years, never got sick… did the same people ever clean off the bottom of their faucet aerator?
Basically what my wife does with her kcup coffee machine. She bought some stainless steel reusable cups for coffee grain, and just keeps the tank and stuff clean with vinegar as you mentioned. We took off our aerators awhile ago on our sinks.
The French "cafetiere" works well. I also have a plastic coffee funnel that you put a paper filter cone into then ground coffee goes into the paper. Then put the whole thing into a large cup and add water. Throw away the soggy paper mess and rinse the plastic. Clean AF with no chance of bacteria.
I've tried many many brands of ground coffee and Costco Kirkland Colombian in the 1.3kg cans is by far the best.
Don't worry testing has shown that kitchens have more bacteria than most bathrooms.
When we lived in caves and chopped up our rabbits with stone knives on the same rock for years , those of us here have immune systems...unless you took the jab.
You're going to save a ton of money since coffee has doubled in price over the last couple months. Not trump tariffs, something else. They say a bad harvest, fungus.
after using Keurig since it first came out, and now reading about all of the microplastics we are finding everywhere, couple months ago, i ordered myself the original electric ss percolator same as my parents used a lifetime ago...and use water that has been thru the zerowater pitcher with NO TDS (total dissolved solids), real coffee, and it has never been better! i am developing the opinion that absolutely EVERYthing designed/marketed as a "convenience" is actually poisoning us!
I concur with the comment about the word CLEAN.
That E. Coli didn't come out of thin air. I wonder if these are machines from private homes, or offices.
Either way it is horrible, but who is supposed to be cleaning the machines in the office, and BTW Bob doesn't wash his hands.
At home it is the owner...clean your things people.
Love my pour over coffee. Spring water and organic Peruvian coffee

I have a French press, I take it apart and throw it in the dishwasher when it needs

Ues, we routinely clean ours with white vinegar. Never had a problem yet. I loke tje convenience of only one cup as thsts all i drink daily.
I know quite a few people that use K Cups. Several of them apparently know very little of the word "CLEAN"
Now do regular coffee makers
Yeah, I want to know how clean my French press is.

One of the few good things from France is called a french press.

Ditch the plastic and get a ceramic one
You need to clean those machines with vinegar, just like you would any normal coffee maker.
It's only news if you're nasty.
K cups are plastic most of the time. Don’t like the microplastics either. Pour over avoids that problem.
All you have to do is remove your panties and put them where the k-cup is supposed to be and run boiling water thru the keurig a few times
It cleans the machine. I saw a girl do this on youtube.
I think the yeast fights the bacteria or something
do your own research
Am I the only one here who DOESN'T drink coffee?
I love my covfefe and tea! ☕🍵

That's okay. I've been drinking your share.
Probably.

Only if you stand in line for a cup. Those folks are just plain silly
Is it tea?
I still have a Mr. COFFEE from 2002, espresso maker. The OG K cup machine. Works like dream. Cost $25 back then. Great investment 👌

with no Trump Derangement Syndrome either🤣😂
lol, that's why i 'splained TDS in context to water quality!
beware of liberal water🤣😂
Were tje machines brand new?
