Instead, Chicago needs to STOP RELEASING THEM WITHOUT CHARGES back onto the street before the ink is even dry on the paper work.
Only real criminal convictions and real penalties will bring this crime wave to a stop. If there are no consequences... then why should they stop? If you continue arrest & release... then of course they will only escalate, because there's no incentive not to loot and riot.
They need to bring back the chain gang. If you get arrested, while you wait for your trial you can earn your bail by doing labor like cleaning up the streets, painting over graffiti, picking up litter, etc. etc you know the deal. These 'teens' need to be taught how to do hard work and to respect their environment, and be brought to heel. Some hard labor will do that quick
