I love the display.
I don't love that Lake Mead, behind the dam, is at 1,051 feet elevation, which is 177 feet below its full level.
Lake level is 7 feet below where it was in May 2025, and 17 feet below where it was in May of 2024. Lake Mead is at 30 percent of its capacity.
At 1,050 feet (just 1 foot lower, which should be reached next month), it triggers Tier 2 shortages, causing more severe cuts to Lower Basin water allotments.
If the level drops to 1,025 feet (which it probably will in the next 2-3 years), that is the "critical elevation" for an emergency-stop minimum where massive, mandatory supply cuts hit cities and tribal lands.
If it drops to 1,000 feet, that is the absolute minimum pool required for the Hoover Dam's turbines to generate electricity. Based on the mandatory usage cuts (from above), Lake Mead might achieve "dead pool" within the next 8-10 years.
We need to patriotically solve our nation's water problems.
Perhaps we should investigate the potential political and monetary incentives a drought like this offers to those engaged in the practice of geo-engineering..... (Chemtrails, weather modification, solar blocking etc) To make sure we are not being hoodwinked by the powers-that-be into believing that this is mainly due to "climate change".
It's more unnecessary consumers like massive pecan farms
