Well, Trump actually said it but he was being tongue in cheek. He said something like...I like inflation, wait til the oil prices come down, (as in won't that be great compared to today's inflation). As usual, fake news takes it out of context. Or he was trolling. lol

But there is even more depth to this and the original "I love inflation" was not a slip of the tongue.
In a demand since economies (where consumption is driven by debt) easy debt = higher demand = higher prices = inflation = banks become richer.
In a supply side economics (where production is driven by economic growth) inflation = increased confidence by everyone who is earning more and more because of the growth = the whole country becomes richer.
