Think about what was happening in 1990. MC Hammer, Arabic parachute pants, birth of the internet, the rise of hip-hop and grunge. Oversized flannel shirts, ripped jeans, combat boots, and slip dresses over t-shirts, Baggy jeans, oversized sports jerseys, bucket hats, and Timberland boots.
That's what was popular when the last Air Force 1 was made.
-the last VC-25A was delivered closer to the Moon landing and JFK's assassination than the present day. 1990 was 36 years ago.
-The moon landing was in 1969, just 21 years earlier.
-JFK assassination in 1963 was 27 years earlier.
-Construction of the Berlin Wall started in 1961, 29 years earlier. It only was up for 28 years.
-The first Boeing 707 commercial flight was in 1958, 32 years earlier.
-Personal Computers existed in 1990, with processor speeds in low 10s of megahertz, laptops didn't really but "portable" or "luggable" machines existed.
The U.S. Air Force announced the official arrival of the VC-25B Bridge aircraft at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. The VC-25B represents the next generation of Air Force One, the presidential aircraft fleet.
The Bridge aircraft is part of the Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization program, which will replace the current VC-25A fleet — two modified Boeing 747-200B aircraft that have been in service since 1990. The new VC-25B is based on the Boeing 747-8 platform and features enhanced communications systems, defensive capabilities, and operational range.
The arrival at Andrews marks a significant milestone in the multi-year modernization effort. The aircraft will undergo additional outfitting, testing, and certification before entering operational service. Boeing was awarded the contract for two VC-25B aircraft in 2018, with delivery timelines extending into the mid-2020s.
The current VC-25A aircraft have served five presidents over more than three decades. The new fleet is designed to serve presidential administrations for the next 30-plus years, maintaining the Air Force's ability to provide secure, reliable air transport for the Commander in Chief anywhere in the world.
FUNNY interesting "Freudian slip" from the official press release:
Commissioning flights are the “final exam” for the aircraft modification, the Air Force explained in a media release. “They provide both an opportunity for the White House enterprise to validate mission-capability, while also finalizing protocols required to safely and securely transport the President of the United States and enable his execution of his three constitutional roles; Chief Executive, Commander in Chief, and Head of State.”
I hope the military inspects every nut and bolt of that aircraft to make sure there are no trackers/bugs hidden and it hasn't been sabotaged in some way.

So this is not the overdue boeing in san antonio right? Hopefully there are ongoing audits and investigations on those contractors and subs. Lotta illegal hinkiness there and some of it reported on by local media re lotta illegal aliens in tha mix.

We all need to pray that there wasn’t a single leftist saboteur involved in building this jet.
