I think the article missed a very important point.
The U.S. doesn't just have US forces in the region and sitting around on ships within striking range.
Watch what has been happening in Iran. The Iranian people are organizing an armed resistance against the regime. I'm sure the Iranian resistance is providing real time information to the US and allies about the IRGC and regime movements. The US is gathering intelligence info and tracking Iranian officials by satellite, drone, high altitude aircraft and probably on the ground as well. We watch the ports, the rail car unloading, transport trucks and movements of military equipment. The US is monitoring cell phones and communications within Iran. The US is gathering information on all international bank accounts controlled by the IRGC and Iranian officials.
We know what they have, where they have it, who controls it, who paid for it... and that information grows by the day.
These days, financial warfare is just as important as kinetic energy. Just look at the impact shutting down USAID has had even in this short amount of time.
You guys understand that this means we are going back to war with the Islamic Republic, don't you? The unilateral "no wars" types are gonna be mad! Trump is going to be nice to Isreal again. I mean, we'll gain great allies with the Iranian people and save many lives from the Islamic Republic, but I don't know if people here are going to be happy since Israel won't be destroyed.
Means no such thing as we never stopped being at war with them for 47 years. We will be when the timing is right. The last thing Iran wants is this war. Most if not all the back and forth of this is by design. Shaking the iranian tree letting the proper people consolodate power there. We have all the time in the world while irgc loses control through demonstrated ineptitude at making this deal amd the fact that they are the wrong group to make the deal with. I dont think trump intends to leave them in power unless they completely capitulate. Which inalso think trump does not expect them to do. This is playing out in a slow, controlled and totally U.S.A. leaveraged way.
Thanks for posting this article I now have a better understanding on what really going on.
That story is wrong because it is reading the surface of a negotiation without reading the architecture underneath it.
Exactly this. ☝️
Thanks for the indepth post fren! ☘️

There's several ways to win a war.
I agree.
