The state's need not give tax payers money to candidates. That should be illegal unless the people vote it into a law. Then all parties/candidates should get the same amount.
Yep, my neighbor shouldn't be negotiating their salary and benefits against me, the taxpayer. Same for every other taxpayer who doesn't work for a government union.

Should just be illegal period. Same way government unions should be. Government shouldn’t be a cushy employment option, but literally service.
Unions are implicitly accusing “the people” of being abusive ”service receivers”.
I.e. “government service” isn’t service at all, but authority.
