Student Loans Must Be Forgiven And Cannot Be Kicked Off SAVE Plan, Says Amended Lawsuit
The amended lawsuit argues that borrowers with student loans in the SAVE plan shouldn’t be forced to move into other repayment plans, a process set to begin next week.
Borrowing isn’t the issue. It’s the government and wall street running the economy into the ground and exporting jobs for 3 decades. If this is the rule for student loans, can they stop bailing out wall street also? Big tech pressing for h1b visas, the Feds issuing them and undercutting American STEM grads then wonder why people are defaulting on loans.
These young adults are paying $200,000+ for a BA in social work and women's studies. They need a basic math class.
won't that trigger a class-action lawsuit from those who paid? That's what needs to be made public because these politicians string people along every election cycle. Or maybe it needs to be taken to the Supreme Court to get rid of the notion that it will ever happen.
Piggybacking. Offshoring jobs, inspiring h1b visas. Then wondering why people are behind in their loans is purposely destroying generations.
Exactly, those who paid loans off, or paid (worked) their way thru. should demand to be reimbursed. to be fair.
100% agree they should be paid back. Daily compounding interest is NOT fair, though. I have friends that paid double and even made extra payments to principal and ended up shelling out DOUBLE what they borrowed when all was said and done. How does that make sense? We want a strong economy, but many high earners are saddled with six figure student loan debt. The government needs to get out of college costs so the market can bring them back to earth.
If the universities didn’t get paid I’d be OK with this. They are overcharging for the indoctrination.
good point on the indoctrination!
