Yes, that is a different story. But my point was to illustrate that the objectionables do not all come from the Third World. There is also the symmetrical point that not all Third Worlders are objectionable (e.g., my wife). Or her childhood pal, still pals: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dambisa_Moyo%2C_Baroness_Moyo
She is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Global Economic Imbalances, The Trilateral Commission, and the Bretton Woods Committee.
But she was the first to identify foreign aid as being a deadly addiction for the Third World, and a source of graft (for which she was made persona non grata in Zambia). When you're right, you're right. Trump is starting to recalibrate foreign aid accordingly. It's also interesting to see that, where she starts out criticizing the "forced dependence" model of foreign aid, the Wikipedia article was quick to cite the fashionable criticism of that viewpoint.
The point is: a person from the Third World can meet or exceed First World standards of intellect and performance.
In discussion with Canadians I know, they don't assimilate either. Former Canadian friends with time shares in Florida act like frat boys drunk, breaking bottles, throwing trash then snapping their fingers to call waitresses to clean it up. Groping girls, stealing for fun.
Then there are others who run to US when there is an issue but won't denounce Canadian citizenship for USA because when the issue is over they plan to return to Canada. These are simply cowards.
It all depends on the individual. Want to import a whole lot of Quebecois from Canada (not a Third World nation)?
No but I might be ok with some people from Alberta coming here.
