My dad was Dutch. Born and raised near The Hague (southern part of the netherlands). Long-time Catholic family.
He was 8 years old when the Nazi's rolled in and occupied the Netherlands. In a larger Catholic family, his older brothers had to live/sleep under the floorboards in the later years to avoid being taken (kidnapped, literally, tho not kids) by the Germans and enlisted or put to work in camps, etc, in Germany.
To keep warm/cook, the elder brothers had to go out and cut down tree wood at night, because if they were spotted, the German soldiers would have shot them. (weren't allowed to cut down any trees)
In the latter years of the occupation, Germany took ALL the food from the Netherlands, so that the entire population was starving. My dad made forays into nearby market garden areas that had been ravaged, guarded by German soldiers, to try to scramble up potatoes. For several years, his family basically lived primarily on bread with sugar as the only nourishment, (triggering a life-long addiction to sugar).
His stories of, at the ripe old age of 11, finding dead corpses on the banks of the canals were pretty harrowing. And of feeling so guilty because he ran to grab a piece of food and stick it in his mouth when his baby brother dropped it on the floor, because he was a starving kid.
Perhaps some Americans simply think that WW2 was ALL about the Jews, and the (reported) slaughter of Jews. (Putting aside how much of that information is real or not, we know that the Jewish thing in WW2 was orchestrated and used as a pretext to set up the Cabal proxy state of Israel, among other things)
But it was about a LOT more than the Jews. The Jewish thing has been highlighted for obvious reasons (see previous statement). Which doesn't mean it wasn't real, but either way, millions of innocent and non-Jewish people suffered under the Nazi regime during WW2, in all countries, including Germany.
The methods of torture, brutality, etc, used by the Nazi regime are well recorded. Which is not to say all German soldiers were brutes, or evil bastards. Or that other govts didn't employ such methods ever. But the Regime, headed by Old Adolf, was the brutal driving force that destroyed so many lives, including German (non-Jewish) ones.

But governments are sometimes run by bad men.
The Dutch government was officially "neutral," publicly, with regard to the war between England/France and Germany.
But ... the Netherlands government was secretly helping the British launch a suprise attack on Germany though the low countries.
England was shipping tanks across the Channel and storing them in the Netherlands for that invasion.
Germany figured this out, and that is why they went in to the Netherlands, to head off that attack.
Here is a short video clip of a group of ex-German WW2 soldiers touring a military museum, and they run into a young Dutch woman and have a conversation with her.
She complains that the Germans made her uncles "vanish" (she does not know why, but assumes the worst).
The Germans ask a few questions, and realize that her uncles were "partisans" -- locals who were attacking the occupying German military/police forces.
Such men, if found, were shipped off to prison as prisoners of war, since they were fighting against the Germans, even though not in military uniform. They were guerilla forces, effectively, and subject to prisoner of war treatment.
It sucks, but the Americans did the same to the Japanese-Americans who were suspected of secretly helping Japan during the war.

There was one German camp commandant who was EXECUTED -- by the Germans -- for abuse.

As for the examples you cite, Patton (one general), victims, incidents, and more, I think this simply illustrates how any person can take a particular data set and then reach conclusions or make interpretations based on the chosen overriding framework or perspective. By which I mean, one case: M looks at A, C, E, G, and concludes "this means X", when N looks at B, D, F, H and concludes "this means Y". And O looks at ABCDE and concludes "this means Z".
What each person (chooses) to look at, and what conclusions they draw from them, obviously says something about the person and their chosen framework (worldview) as much as it does about the actual available data.
I do not find your argument (aka as laid out here) convincing or persuasive. There is already a plethora of counter-arguments in my mind, but I'm not keen to discuss further a very complex subject with extremely broad ramifications and nuances, as to what we see in the world.

My thoughts go back to Berlin showing clearly what a certain population was doing. It is exactly the same as the same people have been shoving down our "throats" through our eyes and ears now.
