I am very sad when I saw this news, can’t afford a house even with good credit, these creeps (Real Estate agents and brokers) didn’t approve a mortgage I did try couple of years ago, didn’t even get to start working on the forms. I was not qualified and on top they sold my name to the internet and had to write all major advertising companies to withdraw my name and all my info online. Real States agents and brokers are really bad with Americans.
We still labor under delusions that the systems we’ve grown accustomed to didn’t fundamentally break decades ago. Even now as rot has set into the very bones undergirding the whole affair. We pretend most of the world is a Meritocracy. It isn’t.
We pretend our obsession with Business hasn’t ultimately created a very wealthy rootless class of people with no home, history or connections, or loyalty to anything other than their bank account.
We pretend this class of people still views the rest of us as fellow citizens and humans worthy of respect. Instead of expendable assets and interchangeable cogs. They don’t.
We pretend race and ethnic identity holds no influence over us in modern day. It does.
We pretend ethnic cartels cooperating together to hollow out our country and companies around us so they benefit don’t exist. They do.
We pretend there’s equal justice under the law and that people and companies are held equally accountable and charged the same. Regardless of their financial status. They aren’t.
We pretend that we can still salvage things with further tweaks and refinements to a fundamentally broken incentive structure. We can’t.
So on down the line. The minute we stop allowing this is the minute we accept that things have changed fundamentally and it’s time to stop trying to make a fundamentally broken system work and instead build something new.
