Remember - this could also have been a good thing, although at the time most of thought it was bad.
The investigation was ultimately just a load of BS, Mueller was shown to be either a complete moron or an old man with dementia, and served as a good example of government corruption.

Lindsey is/was the classic example of a fair weather friend. Before and after Trumps 1st term, Lindsey was aligned against Trump. While Trump was in office first time, his words and actions changed to pro TRUMP overnight. Now that Trump has been elected again, Lindsey wanted back in, but he had already made his bed, and now he has had to lie in it. NO PUN INTENDED but I think it's appropriate.
