I used to drop everything I had sorted out of my house to Goodwill. Then I read the guy who started it was a multi millionaire. Disgusting con. As bad as red cross.
About five years ago I dropped off a few garbage bags of things at Goodwill, only because it was convenient opposed to the other thrift store in my area. The guy opened the door and told me to sort my stuff in bins. I should have taken it back to my car. I left the bags and haven’t been back since. I’d rather throw it away than deal with them. Yes, they are pricing items way too high. My husband went in one a few years ago. I used to shop this particular one all the time about twenty years ago and got good stuff at decent prices.
I have been watching shopgoodwill for decades-and buying my primary interest, watches. However there has emerged a pattern of high end sales that I discussed with a friend who believes there are some watch collectors getting a special deal of selling off their lesser pieces on consignment. The prices are outlandishly high: a Universal Geneve wrist chronograph for $35,000; a vintage Rolex chronograph $60,000 plus any Rolex sells for $3K to 5K. They are in unknown condition but make GW as profitable as some high end auction houses..
It’s very hard to not be corrupt to some extent in business and money, especially as organization size scales. Hence “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

In any case, I enjoy seeing the lengths to which bad managements go to preserve what they call their independence — which really just means their jobs.
That’s true among small fish too, however.
It’d be nice if the church would actually bother to teach all the business and money related scripture, aaah but that would mean we should give the Old Testament some measure of authority, and that would do away with our dogma of Dispensations and Covenants being done away with! No no, let’s just keep them being a bunch of harmless stories about haircuts and slingshots!

Just sat spinnin coupla mins 'saving comment' but did not.
I do not donate anything to them just to people who clean the house and I will continue doing it.
goodwill is a private for profit
stop donating to it and donate to real charity thrifts like salvation or the pet rescue one
yes i know salvation is corrupt too, they all are
It's very difficult to find any charity that isn't infested with progtard vampires sucking off benefits intended for the needy.
