Seedless watermelon are not the result of some nefarious Frankenstein/GMO like experimentation. They result from crossing diploid watermelon, containing 2 sets of chromosomes (total of 22), with a tetraploid watermelon, with 4 sets of chromosomes(total of 44). This cross results in a triploid offspring ,3 sets of chromosomes, 33 total. The triploid plant is sterile due to the odd number of chromosomes. Hence no seeds. So kind of like a mule, the sterile offspring of horse and donkey.

They can talk all they want (and with AI) but the reality is that people grow things and save seeds. I'm a seed saver. We trade with other seed savers. There's no way to stop that.

A lot in my vegetable garden is seeds that fell from the last year's crops and then grew. More are just seeds from overpplanting that I cleaned, dried and saved and reused.

As far as grapes are concerned, you just have to get a cutting and root it. Easy peasy.
