Thanks for that. I've been looking for data that supports the need and I could never find any, and then the outflow, back to the communities began showing contaminaton. Knowing what we know and being of sound minds, its maddening to watch the unfolding. I say , " unfolding " because I watch and have been a part of public meetings and they never mention this. Needless to say they could not defend it. The public dumbing down is so bad, that the 'centers' put forth fake plans to excite in advance. In other words they say 10 million square feet and get public insanity. Then the news reports for months on the fight. Then the center still gets built in the back ground, because they only spec'ed one million feet and its already approved ! The news and community is still fighting, on TV, for a center thats already approved and being built. So check out my post going up now. . .
Once you realize Trump is right (again) about data centers / AI, and that the resistance to them is being stoked by China and others who don't want the US to maintain dominance, it becomes easy to ignore the fear mongering.

First off I heard that Elon Musk is already starting to or will soon put data centers into space. Great idea, as space is extremely cold, IIRC.

I absolutely remember reading a long time ago that Microsoft actually did a demo and test of running a very small data center deep in the ocean. I think it was actually maybe a half a dozen servers packed inside what was basically a small submarine.
I heard China has already started or is getting close to deploying data centers In the ocean.
Makes you wonder why they aren't actively trying to build more data centers either extremely far north or south, where the temperature is where your cooling would basically be to open the windows.... or space and underwater.
I'm sure space & underwater have cost issues, but still.......

The water thing is a DS talking point. Data centers put the water back into it source after using it for cooling. It is not consumed.
