most people have to believe that what they're doing is the right thing, and most people do. that's why idiots are up in arms about global warming, and taking freedom of expression to an extreme. you can't virtue signal if you don't believe on some level that you have virtue.
people with discernment can't be lied to forever... but many just treat the loudest voice like an infallible ancient text... without questioning their motivation for being so loud.
your title is a little provocative. veganism can be the result of a mental illness, but people also just eat what they want to eat. only you know what feels best for you. similar to freedom of religion... try calling out any one type of christianity here. no matter how ridiculous you think it is, they all have their defenders. and other religions too. in fact i'm somewhat of an expert in defending ridiculous religions myself.
i think diet is a similar fundamental freedom, and can only imagine that's why people are getting upset.
the left is the side that cannot handle dissent or disagreement among themselves... they are the ones that think a differing opinion automatically aligns you with the enemy. there are absolutely right wing vegans. not everyone has the same dietary needs.
what is your evidence that no one has been to the moon? and if it was fake, why hasn't it been faked again?
i'm not suggesting everything made public about it was real. but not everything about it was fake, either. we did go. there are videos and images they don't want you to see, as well. have you seen those?
do you always smile in the bath? and do you always have your favourite shampoo and your rubber ducky?
i always loved baths but hated the soap.
Let's just turn that right back around on you: Nothing to suggest this is murder/pedophile time other than PURE SPECULATION.
Show me some habeas corpus. show me some ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat. Any evidence beyond your wildly inaccurate estimation of what position would be fatal or even harmful to a child? 'Cause it ain't fitting into that box.
How extremely dishonest of you to say. it isn't hard to tell the difference between nudity and porn. possession of the picture in question obviously does not qualify as posession of child porn.
just because something has been used as an excuse, doesn't make it untrue. it is true that God forgives all sin, and that has been used dishonestly as an excuse as well.
Anyone with integrity can tell when such a statement is being used as an excuse and when it is said in good faith.
I don't think mine have been sold... but it is obviously not pornographic... and accusing someone of having a picture of someone elses kid on their wall is a long way away from accusing them of murder and pedophilia. i have absolutely seen stock photos of naked babies in offices. weird, sure. not really my taste. but also not criminal.
yeah yeah. real easy to type that. but the homeless people also feel that way, and have generally seen more shit than the shopkeeper. all they need to do is threaten to cough on you and youll leave them alone. no one wants to fight dirty hobos who might have blades or needles hidden anywhere, that's just basic survival. yall might hate each other, but only one party has nothing to lose.
I wouldn't be here if i cared more about consensus than accuracy. letting emotional subjects lead us to making unfounded statements is the achilles heel of this place.
there is no reason to assume the child in the photo is harmed at all. I don't care what the tub is sold for... in reality they are used for anything. i don't care how awkward the kid looks... take pictures of kids playing and you will get some very awkward poses.
pic legitimately brings back childhood memories. we were off grid a lot of the time, so bathing meant filling a plastic container half up with cold water and then the rest with hot w from the wood stove. anyone who thinks that unimaginable is out of touch with reality, and if you're willing to conclude someone is guilty of a felony over it, you need a reality check before you do something stupid.
i'm not saying the post shouldn't have been made. its worth taking note of. but the title is irresponsible, and so are the conclusions being drawn.
yeah but that can take hours just to remove one person, even with multiple cops. not good for business to just drag them away kicking and screaming. better for everyone to go peacefully, so usually they're given some time.
for suggesting that a stock photo isn't sufficient evidence for murder? i don't think its that bold, its just common sense.
calling for anyones death over what picture hangs in an office is nuts, especially when you can't properly see the photo and don't know the story about it.
false accusations neutralize the effect this community can have. i'd just like to see people use some discipline, if only when accusing people of murder and calling for the death sentence. i hardly think that counts as a bold suggestion.
sometimes the midwit effect really gets accentuated here. you don't have to explain a storage tub to me. they're quite common, which is why its also quite common to bathe your kid in one, as long as they can fit. this one clearly can.
great dig
