Very valid points and I think I'm in the same boat as you are as to how it will actually play out. Still, I will pray for him either way. He is fighting hard for the people and in no way am I diminishing his efforts in that fight.
Yes...incredibly disappointing with Johnson. Your right, until Jesus comes back judgement won't be rendered but as it is written he will come like a thief in the night so I guess we never know when that will be. Thanks for the great points!

Thank you for reading the comments and responding. Exactly, I'm just praying he will use his platform to make this proclamation. We will see and I will be praying for him!

I 100% understand that; perhaps I wasn't clear. Of course sin will not be defeated until Christ returns. This world is fallen from the original sin. Nor is there anything we can do to snuff out all sin, that was not my point. By no means am I suggesting one is more righteous than another because they sin less or do more good works because of course we are all rags and fall infinitely short.

My point was, imagine if Trump uses this platform to Glorify God by proclaiming Christ is king. There is power in the name of Jesus. Imagine the most powerful person in the world using his name and truly putting God above the world. That was the main point I was trying to emphasize. Think about all that would be at stake for him to do so; and if he does it it would only be through the Holy spirit working within him. So many would reject him if he uses the name of Jesus; but others could have their hearts opened if that is His will to receive the gospel. I will pray that if given that opportunity, and if God so wills it, Trump uses that platform to do so.

You just proved my point about infighting. Please listen to the sermon. Yes its a great step to have him speak of God and use God's name and put out a Bible. But there is power in Jesus name; furthermore, what type of response is it to call someone a moron? What does that achieve? Also, 1/2 the country identifies as Christians but does that mean they are? Are they truly walking with the Lord? Do they stand up for him. Peter denied Christ 3 times, how many times do we deny Jesus when given the chance to defend him. Again, calling yourself a Christian is not enough; it takes action too (Matthew 25:14–30). Please give it a listen brother.

Amen. I think of Isaiah 9:10 "The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place" To your point; it is imperative that we rebuild with God first. Even on this forum, how often does mans pride get in the way? How often do we bicker among ourselves to try and prove to each other we are right. We hide under the pretense that we are trying to illuminate our brothers and sisters but truthfully it can come down to pride. I heard Mar Mari preach about when Trump wins in 2024 that it is imperative that he doesn't just use God. While it is wonderful he acknowledges God, the name of Jesus Christ has power. Notice, when Jesus Christ's name is used heads turn; James 2:19 I truly wonder what will happen. Will we continue to under the same guise thinking we are all awake but over time revert right back to where we started or will we truly put God first as it is written Duet 6:4.
Here is a link to his sermon; I am of a different denomination than Mar Mari and we disagree on some tier 2, 3 issues but I do believe this man Loves the Lord and preaches truth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSAxGx_Zwts

Amen, the minority had the bullhorn but we are taking it back piece by peace. Will continue to pray for your all.
You know thinking about this now, it had to happen this way. While there is a lot of collateral damage and suffering here in the great awakening, what was our alternative...? We should be blessed (I know you are) that finally steps are being taken to break the chains. So much more to come, but is amazing to watch everything unfold in God's timing.

Amen! There will aslo be a day where God wipes away every year. But Isaiah 65:25 gives me hope that we will see them again. God is good; I put all my trust in him and know his judgement will always be fair and true. Thank you for your words

1 one thousand, two one thousand....Praying for you guys. From the outside it would appear most asleep but refreshing to hear not the case. Growing up Australia to me was always the USA but a tougher more outback version. Sure those pockets still exist but shame what political leaders have done for you all. Praying for the great awakening.

Thank you so much; I know many believe dogs have a spirit and not a soul but every time one of my beloved pets has passed it was almost a "knowing" I experienced from them to serve God and be my best.
Like you said in your other comments, animals are a gift from God. Some of us relate them to in much deeper way. I like to believe our love for them is an infinitely smaller scaled taste of Gods love for us. God is good, in the end I trust Him and regardless of what some say through interpreting scripture I do believe we will be reunited with them in some capacity.

I appreciate the feedback; and I think that perhaps my comments came off as legalism, that was not my intention. I agree we share many core points. Yes the OT was set up to prove that mankind could never live up to the law; therefore God sent his son as a savior in Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that we are saved. No works save us, but it is His grace alone.
Your example of over attachment would be the Pharisees and Sadducees; I think we can link many religious sects today to the same error over overemphasizing scripture and losing the core meaning which is to put God first above all. There core focus was not on God, but of themselves, they used scripture to promote righteousness among themselves. We give up our lives for Him; just like Jesus gave up his life for us.
But you are spot on, the error many make is they develop righteousness and pride (I go to church more, I know more scripture, I serve here etc). We are all horrible retched sinners in need of a savior and that savior was Jesus Christ. However as Romans points out that does not mean we can go on living as we please; this is what I was trying to emphasize. Those of us that know Him have that endless yearning to know more and build that relationship with Him. Getting into his Word, prayer are ways to do that.
But I do think there is a danger in stating as long as you know and acknowledge Jesus you are good (not stating that's what you are implying). The sanctification process corrects us and shapes us in the image of Him; part of that process I do believe means getting into His word and building that relationship. Hope that was clearer (and much more we could get into) but appreciate the polite discourse brother.

John 13:34 we need to remind some of frens on here about his one! So easy to battle each other; but we must pray for our enemies and show them the same grace God gave us! Great list. My go to is Duet 6:4. I believe all sin is rooted in choosing the world over Him. Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul and all your might! Yes I fall short, but always will fight the good fight.

I couldn't disagree more. How can you say Jesus is the king, and also say the Bible is a corrupt document of control? You are attacking the very source that says that Jesus is king? If you accept some as truth and not all of it are you not diminishing its whole purpose? You then are relying not on God's Judgement but your own to discern what truth is.
Our hearts and minds can be a very dangerous thing. Wisdom apart from God is nothing; and the Bible is the only source of truth. Proverbs 3:5 Proverbs 28:26 Jeremiah 48:7 No harm to you brother just sharing what the Bible says. Don't take my word for it because my opinion is useless, but read it and you will see. I will pray you do

That is where faith comes in. You have to believe that the Bible was not written by man but is divinely inspired. In other words, while men scribed it, God used them as vessels simply to record. There is a much longer and deeper argument to defend why the Bible is unique to other texts.
But again, you either believe or you don't. Not surprised I got a ton of down-votes. The world will reject this message; but that doesn't diminish in any way our commission to spread the good news to others so they may be saved. 1st Gal 1:10. In the end, we can't be concerned about what others may think about us; but continue to fight the good fight and spread the news.
Again, I 100% believe with my heart that the Bible is the only source of truth as scripture is God breathed truth; whether people choose to accept or deny this is between themselves and the Lord.

Not sure I understand your comment. I am staying the Bible is the only source of truth. You either accept it all as truth, or none of it at all. I think the great danger is people picking and choosing what to follow from the Bible and creating their own truths. Why do you feel the Bible is corrupt? It is historically accurate; there are so many pieces done on this. It is the infallible Word of God.

Of course Jesus is king, but it does matter how we live our lives. Even the demon know who Jesus is. It's not enough just to acknowledge him; who are we to pick and choose what God as defined as truth. Do we know better than him (Job covers this well). We must repent of our sins and do our best to walk in his statures. Not works based of course; it doesn't matter how much I tithe, go to church etc. But its about fighting the good fight and repenting for our sins as we can never achieve perfection.

As my name states, there will be a day where every tongue confesses Jesus Christ is Lord. I just pray I hear well done faithful slave, not depart from me you who practice lawlessness. It is our commission to share this good news with others. Many will reject it, but what joy comes from the few who accept it and our saved. We can not fear the rejection of the world; after all its not up to us who accept it. Only good can soften the hearts of the unbelieving and resurrect the dead man back to life. We are all dead in our trespasses and Jesus Christ is the only way. He is the light the truth and the way; but part of this acceptance is living our lives for Him and not putting ourselves ahead of God.

We are to follow authority, the key is to change the law. But man is of course fallible as well. Just saying, if we don't like the law we should make an effort to change it is all instead of deciding which laws we will obey and which ones we won't. In the end does anyone live a sinless life, of course not. But the effort should always be made to fight the good fight.

1 Peter 2:13-17. "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king"
