Hey there. Just wanted to quickly say that you Poles are awesome. And I’m not talking about the government or media.

I spent a relatively small amount of time in Poland but everyone I met was awesome. Slow to warm up to me, but great once they opened up a little.

Your culture and values are incredible. Once, at a public park in Krakow (clean as fuck compared to anything I’ve seen in America), I saw a teenage couple on a date, and when the young man’s empty bag of chips blew away in the wind he sprinted about a quarter mile to grab it and throw it away.

Small anecdote, but I appreciated it.

I never want to leave America, but if I did, I’d go to Poland.

I completely understand, I used to have a similar problem.

But you write well, which means you have the words. You don’t have to rush when speaking.

Measure your words the same as if you were typing them. You’ll get better quickly with practice, and you might find that taking a moment to find the right word for the idea you wish to convey takes less time than using more words to make the same point!

That’s the beauty of mastering a language like English.

Came to say almost exactly this. My Jamaican friends hates being called African American.

There is a community of Africans where I live, most are good people. They are African Americans.

The black Americans do not wish to be identified with them, though.
