I had a black cat with only a little white on her tummy and paws.

You could clearly see it on her black head.

Christianity and the ‘M’ Legend.

In Christianity, the legend behind the ‘M’ mark on a cat’s forehead is often linked to the story of baby Jesus. It is said that when Jesus was born, he was lying in a manger, accompanied by his mother, the Virgin Mary. There, a cat, with an intriguing ‘M’ marking on its forehead, found its way into the stable and snuggled next to baby Jesus, keeping him warm and comforted. Out of gratitude, Mary is believed to have gently stroked the cat’s forehead, imprinting the ‘M’ as a symbol of her love and appreciation.

Also all cats have an "M" on the yo of thier head for Mary.

The cat stayed by Mary's side during birth and she touched the cats head.
