I never had a child and I've done some (consensual) depraved shit, but even when the women tried to have leverage over me by pretending to get pregnant I always took it seriously and told them, "if we have a kid, he's coming with me or I'll drag you through court."
They all lied but it wasn't a blanket threat, I'd rather my child be with me and have my mother be available to watch him/her while I'm at work than be raised by any if the women I've been with..I don't always make the best choices, but if it's over my child I'll do anything, even things I wouldn't bother to do for myself.
