A monkey on the back, it's all the same. Is it new retail goods, or garage sales? Doe we need sales tax licenses now to live? Does it exempt basic necessities and how are those defined? The last attempt at national sales tax was 23-30%. Housing and car sales included? And how, as a CPA tax practitioner is the bank going to secure a loan w/out a tax return... just saying. 100% opposed to it all. These are all big distinctions, and SUBJECT TO CHANGE in another administration.

Generally not in favor of a sales tax either. Wasn't a rate of 23 - 30% previously proposed. Hell no. There is no full text to this bill so you can't see if it's new retail goods and/or used goods (private party sales and garage sales too?). Would we need to all get sales tax licenses? Coupled w/ the state sales tax you could be 33 - 50%. Are food, housing, and other necessities exempt? How about a 20-30% add on to rent? Or when buying a car? That'd be fun, huh? And don't think for one minute the banks are going to loan to anyone w/out some type of a tax return.

I'm disappointed in the comments, directives not to ask and speculation as to why. It happened.

100% legitimate topic for discussion.

it's been on the fincen.gov website since early this month that it's not required after the Texas ruling. IMHO, save the page and throw it in your file.

very dangerous precedent. they could get lover boy and her former roommate to testify against her so she can get her justice.

Pretty sure the number surpassed $300k in some locations. Sauce does exist.

Rods of God? wasn't that a thing nearly a decade ago?

Let me also say, the Amish eat like crap. I had the instinct they were all non-gmo, organic type stuff, not so, much to my amaze. I have also used them for framing, amazing quick... totally know what they're doing.

I don't like this either... I've heard 18% thrown out there for the fed, plus 8-18% for state. Will they exempt food, housing, utilities, medical care, already taxed gas, etc? Is this goods and services, or only goods, new and used? Seems like the tax base will grow and will impact people with smaller income very negatively.

Crypto good news, now do the same for metals.

I hope they get rid of the corporate transparency act on the small businesses too.
