I think it comes down to trust and the ability to perceive that there is evil in the world. People can’t comprehend that their doctors and scientists would let them down and that their government could be so corrupt that it would do something to harm its own people for political and financial gain.
I think it’s a good idea to not stereotype people into groups of any kind because if we do then we are playing the progressive’s game of dividing rather than unifying.
