Turkey opposes allowing Sweden and Finland into NATO, refuses bribes, and now, randomly, there is a massive earthquake.

The DS has been able to control the weather for decades now (HAARP, cloud seeding, etc). Notice how suddenly, it's getting warmer? The storms and events the left "predicted" are all coming true, and even the skeptics are starting to go along with everything? Obviously, it's because they're making it happen. If you've ever wondered why wind mills are still running on calm days, it's because they're not harnessing the wind, they're creating it. Now there are thousands of them, right beneath our noses.

President Trump knows all this, which is why he is opposing wind farms. The MSM doesn't understand it, but we know.

I'd be a fan of Jared Kushner. Not just part of President Trump's family, but specifically chosen by him. That's gotta count for something. He's set himself up perfectly to use the Saudi's money to bankroll the next MAGA wave.

I don't know. I was excited to see her fight, but besides some Twitter posts, she just kind of rolled over and let them steal the election from her. Last I heard, she was talking about shooting down the Chinese balloon. I'm really disappointed with out it turned out.

No, the NFTs came at just the right time. It's a really great way to figure out who is loyal to President Trump and will stand by his side. These last few months, President Trump has been trying to look weak, on purpose. This is so that only those who are truly loyal will stay. Then when he comes back in power, he's going to shut the doors on those who betrayed him. Since there are only a few thousand NFTs, I'm hoping that me buying some will get me a meeting with him. Maybe golf or dinner, I haven't really decided.

I mean, before the war started and what they can provide on their own, without western support.

Ukraine's internal defense budget is less than 1/10th that of Russia. They had some aid from NATO before the special military operation, but nothing like the scale of what they are receiving now.

This is not going to be popular, but I think the thought process is that Ukraine was able to hold together defensively early in the war and not immediately implode (as Russia had initially expected them to).

Ukraine has a fairly sizeable populace and the home field advantage, but they have a very small defense budget. They have no ability to dislodge Russia out of their current holdings without heavy weapons and vehicles, hence the continued calls for aid.

Hmm, this has made me do a little more digging. The UK did provide aid to the CSA, especially weapons. I don't know if this was simply in exchange for cotton, or if any of it was simply given to help further future British interests. Thanks for the info, I learned something today.

I still think Russia is in a very precarious situation, but I guess time will tell.

Yeah, this one is not very popular. Even listening to what Russia is saying, it seems there is a lot of infighting and blaming for Russia's current performance in the war.

So what are the estimated losses for Ukraine and Russia?

It's hard to say UA is demilitarized, when weapons are pouring in. I've read people saying that NATO is running out of weapons, but can you honestly say that the UA has less capabilities now than they did when the war started.

I just don't buy it. If Russia could win the war sooner, they would have already. If they could have taken Kiev in the early days of the war, they would have. That would have wrapped everything up in just a few weeks. I've seen some around here try to justify it by saying that never wanted to take Kiev, but accomplished some minor goal and then pulled out, but it seems like just an excuse.

Don't get me wrong, Russia is still a major powerhouse. They do have a lot of equipment and weapons, but much of it is from the Soviet era. Russia has some advanced weapons like the T-14 Armata Tank and SU-57 Fighter Jet, but we're not seeing them being used. Maybe they're waiting to pull them out, but the longer this fight goes on, the less it favors Russia.

I'm not dooming here, just trying to be a realist.

No other countries joined the Confederacy. The UK almost did, but they ended up sitting on the sidelines. The west is supplying Ukraine with a lot of equipment and weapons. On it's own, Ukraine could not hold out. But I think the West is happy to continue to bleed Russia out.

And the sanctions on Russia are crippling. I've seen people around here trying to down play it, but they're cutting off Russia from the global market. Long term, they might be able to be more self sufficient, but in the medium term, they're going to have major problems.

I think someone cares. Not everyone is evil.

Ukraine has a GDP that is 9 times smaller than Russia. They had less than 1/10th the military spending that Russia had in 2021. Russia has over 3 times the population as well.

By all accounts and estimations (including those in the west), Russia should have decisively won in the first few weeks. Russia is massively under performing. They haven't been able to even hold their initial gains they made early in the war. Still, Russia is a heavy hitter. If all aid was cutoff today, Ukraine could probably still hold out for months, maybe even years. Their victories and progress so far has solidified their resolve and there does not seem to be an danger of a political coup. They might be able to reach some kind of a stalemate and negotiate a ceasefire. But that isn't winning.

For Ukraine to realistically go on an offensive they would need heavy weapons and aid to keep their economy afloat.

Also, in the long term, even if Russia was able to overrun and occupy Ukraine, the war has been extremely costly for them. At best, it would be a Pyrrhic victory.

Seems doubtful. Russia has either lost, or strategically abandoned nearly half the territory that initially took. Unless something changes, Ukraine seems to be happy to keep things chugging along and staying propped up with aid.

My guess is the risk of second hand smoke. If you chew around your kids, it won't physically cause any second hand ingestion. But smoking will.

If they can't hurt anyone anymore, then why keep them in prison? I think the shame of being exposed should be enough.

I feel like when we take over, we need to set an example for everyone to follow. We need to be kind, amnesty and forgiveness for all. Many who work for the Deep State may not understand what they're doing.

I keep hearing that, but I have a sneaking suspicion that silver will continue to be undervalued.

It is, but I think the part that the Dems have a problem with is the wording of the resolution that recognizes the "Sanctity of Life". If Democrats don't believe in that, it makes sense why they wouldn't sign it. Seems like a poison pill situation.

Competition should already be driving prices down, but it doesn't really happen when all of your grocery chains are owned by one or two corporations.

Even with the monthly payments, the poor would still pay more in taxes, and the middle class would fork over a larger amount. Not to mention this is basically diet socialism.

The removal of payroll taxes would be nice from a business Administration perspective, but if it costs the same at the end of the day, I'm not sure if that gets us any further than we are now.

The 23% comes directly from the bill itself (link below).

The rest of the numbers come from a few different articles I've read.

Sales taxes typically are regressive (meaning the poor pay a larger percentage of their income in taxes), so it makes sense that this tax change would benefit the most wealthy.

Are they really prisoners though? I thought we found that several of these are known Antifa. The true patriots were peacefully protesting that day.

Not to mention, this tax would be really high. It would start out as a national 23% sales tax, but is more like 30% because the 23% is take from the dollar not on top of (So 77% of a dollar goes to a business, 23% goes to the government).

This tax would increase the effective tax rate on the bottom 90% of income earners, and only those in the top 10% would receive an effective tax break.
