Parents rights, school choice--and sending education back to the States! Wow, this sounds good!

Get government out of education altogether.

The idea of government public schooling is only a couple of hundred years old, the blink of an eye in the historic time scale. Some combination of home schooling and private schooling was the norm throughout most of human history. It can be so again.

It's going to be a long game.

Legislative (Commons and Senate), Executive (Cabinet and Public Service), and Judicial (courts): the division of powers were set up to avoid dictatorships. But the WHOLE system has been hijacked by leftist ideology. It has taken them about a century to do it, but they have captured ALL of them.

Because of the separation of powers, it is not possible to reform it from only one of the three branches. Getting the right people into the House of Commons is not enough to "fix things." Even if Max were PM, he would face the same problem: the Senate, the Judiciary, and the Public Service would all conspire to avoid implementing policies.

A good Government in the House of Commons would be a start, of course. But it would have to simply avoid doing more evil and pick some low-hanging fruit (of which there is a fair bit, so there is some hope there). Getting good MPs in the Commons is essential, but it's not a magic wand.

All the other institutions need just as much attention, and that takes time. Take the Supreme Court: can't appoint good judges to the Supreme Court when there are no good judges at the lower courts. Can't get good judges into the lower courts because the law schools and Law Societies are all woke; it is difficult to be a non-woke lawyer these days.

Antonio Gramsci in the 1930s said that communism would have to infiltrate at all levels, slowly, only to reveal itself at the end as having conquered. This "long march through the institutions" approach is now complete.

It will take a century, at least, of our own "long march" through society to get enough good people into key positions to make effective reform.

Right now, there are not enough good people at all, and they are nowhere near being in key positions.

Not dooming; just pointing out there is lots of work to be done yet. We can't expect magic-wand results.

I'm glad for this.

But as a Canadian I anticipate a lot of the illegals will simply walk over the border to be met by Justin Trudeau and a red carpet. We're already quite overstuffed with migrants and immigrants of all sorts.

Still hoping for the "WW" part of WWG1WGAWW!

... it would be un-American to exclude non-Christians or to ram Christianity down their throats.

Would be un-Christian, too.

Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Whether you want Him to be or not.

Doesn't mean that Christians and non-Christians of all sorts can't cooperate tactically. Trump at the moment is doing good, and the Q-movement has done good. Christians and non-Christians are pulling in the same direction here.

And no one is going to force non-Christians to convert at the point of a gun; we're not Muslims.

But reality is reality.

The Left weaponizes normal human compassion/empathy and skews it in a really weird direction. I have young relatives who have also succumbed to this...

I pray hard, every day, that the demons, including those of Leftism be sent to the foot of the Cross to receive their just punishment.

I bought some peanut butter from Costco once. The kind that has the label saying;

Ingredients: Peanuts

Warning: Contains peanuts

Because, like, you couldn't figure that out from the ingredients list.

"We're from the government and we're here to help".

And that these are still his plans: full steam ahead on the Trump Train!

Good comment under that post:

Can we trust these women if they are working in the food service business to serve conservatives?

Excellent!

The weirdo blue-haired cat ladies have no children; and so they have 24-7 to devote to promoting their perverse views. People with children by necessity have to spend time looking after them--it is one's primary duty after all. But unfortunately it leaves the playing field open to the wierdos. It's difficult to be involved outside in the community when the kids are young, but in order to take back society, it is a necessity. Glad that you are involved!

How about "builder of a new society inside the shell of the old".

Get involved in local politics. School board, library board, anything. If your butt is on the seat, some woke tranny's butt is NOT on the seat. Pick your organization and start going to meetings just to see how things roll, and take it from there.

FYI, here is another article with concerns. This one more detailed:

https://vaccineimpact.com/2024/trump-announces-former-big-pharma-lobbyist-to-run-white-house-staff/

The info is interesting, but the website is a bit... sketchy.

I get what you're saying: Mercury Public Affairs is a big company with many clients, and she wasn't with them all that long. So the link may well be nothing. But it's worth keeping an eye on her. Trump has been fettered by poor personnel in key roles before, so...

As I mentioned to someone else on this thread: the real test will be what Trump will let RFK Jr. do.

Not that long ago, Trump was happy to take credit for Operation Warp Speed, was very pro-vax, and down on RFK Jr. He seems to have backed-off all of that, in practice.

That issue is multi-layered; as we have noted on GAW before how "turning into the torpedo" and forcing them to go faster than they wanted may have injured /killed some but saved more.... Trump, knowing what the Cabal had planned for years of lockdowns, was faced with his very own "trolley problem".

Elon could be controlled by Elon.

Is he really MAGA, or is he tagging along hoping for big government contracts for Starlink and stuff?

So far so good, but I've always been suspicious of him.

I agree. The real test will be when we see what RFK Jr will be allowed to do.

Yes. And keep praying; they may well have another assassination attempt (or two, or three...) in the works.

Uh-oh. She has ties to Big Pharma:

https://vermontdailychronicle.com/big-pharma-courting-trump/

....Wiles became co-chair of lobbying firm Mercury Public Affairs in February 2022. As highlighted by Wholistic News, Mercury’s clientele includes Pfizer; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which spearheaded vaccine funding and distribution efforts during the COVID-19 crisis – a role also played by the United Nations Foundation, another Mercury client; and Gilead Sciences, developer of the equally-rushed COVID-19 “therapeutic,” Remdesivir, as critiqued in Science.
