I've been called a shill many times here, the mods even banned me for a week because I dared to question the group think. That's the problem, we claim to verify everything and think on our own, but there is a huge amount of sheep-like behavior. The problem is that so many here wanted it to be true, so they drank the hopeium. That's my biggest issue with this community, the hope is what often connects the random dots, while common sense tells you they're not connected. We really aren't as logical and fact based as we should be. The autism is super strong, but because of that we find links where there are none, we associate dates and events that are actually random or coincidental. If you want to believe something badly enough, you can always find supportive evidence and other people to give you confirmation bias.
