Agreed, though P/E for SP500 has not been as high as it is now since prior to the '01 & '08 market corrections. I'm hesitant to purchase equities at these lofty valuations. E.g. a P/E of ~40 (overall SP500) is equivalent to ~2.5% yield. So, unless growth is expected, that is not a great return for the risk, imho. I'm weighting my portfolio towards physical precious metals in hopes of preserving wealth, though who really knows what will happen at this point haha.

If looking online, I've found that SDBullion & Gainesville Coins have low(er) premiums & I've never had an issue (GC did take a while to ship last summer when demand saw a peak). Herobullion.com is one I've heard good things about (have not used myself) & they are a smaller business - 'Yankee Silver' introduced me to them & i think they are running a promo for his viewers (Yankee has a youtube channel). With the amount you're looking to purchase, I would recommend 90%/constitutional/junk silver (pre-1965 US coins) & you may be able to find this for a decent price locally.
