Thank God she lives in a red district - just outside of Tarrant County. We won't have a problem keeping that seat RED when the inevitable special election takes place.

Probably because she has been a target of Ken Paxton. The TX Supreme Court has made it hard on him though. Remember - there are still a crap-ton of Bushies left here.

Agreed, though Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso might as well be California. Hopefully when we get the great deportation underway that will move these cities back towards RED. I'm nearly certain the illegals play a big part in the voter fraud in TX.

Pope Socialist doesn't have a good side. Biden is more likely to be going there so his advisors can figure out how to give Vatican City bailout money so they can continue doing evil.

See my comment - he waited for Trump to be elected and only then started on the cases that don't actually affect All of TX or All of the USA.

Ken has been quite busy the last several years with other lawsuits that are an order of magnitude more important than this one. Now that Trump is coming in and Biden is going out he has more time to go after things like this.

While this is important it only affects student athletes - and not a whole state or country. He will also now have a US DOJ that will actually back him and not try to kill his lawsuits like the FJB DOJ did.

If you have any doubts about Ken Paxton - don't. He is the best State AG. He would've made a great USAG, but hopefully he held out so he can primary Senator Dipshit Cornyn for 2026.

Here is his greatest hits list: https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases

Maybe we will get lucky and Pam, Kash, Pete, and Tulsi will find the coordination between agencies that caused this sting against MAGA, take it to the Supreme Court, and exonerate them.

Then they can go after the CONgress members (Hi Nancy Pelosi), the Capitol Police (Hi Eugene Goodman and Steven Sund, the DC Metro Police, the DC Mayor (Hi Muriel Bowser), The Federal Courts, and all the other Federal agencies (Hi Merrick Garland and Chris Wray) that colluded. Maybe they will even find some VP communications... maybe with his 30 pieces of silver.

Think RICO on steroids.

Looks like he may have done something similar, (but to a 17yo kid) in 2017. The kid lost consciousness but did not die. He plead guilty to that with the Feds I believe, though it may have been to the State.

He didn't kill Floyd, but this guy looks like he is corrupt. As a cop he also had a $400k+ house in Florida, a $100k BMW, and supposedly under-reported their tax returns by close to $500k. His ex wife had a business so that may have made most of the money, but when you hide that much I lean towards corruption.

Who knows though - fake news lies. They all wanted him to suffer.

Bad news on Chauvin - he was convicted in State and Federal courts. He could be pardoned on the Federal charges, but not the State charges (would have to come from MN).

He is serving the sentences from the Feds and MN concurrently in a Federal Prison in Texas. It looks like he plead guilty to the DOJ's favorite crime - civil rights violations - in a plea deal. Then the Feds went after his tax returns, and a few other things they tacked on.

He will be in Federal prison until 2038 for both state and federal - part of his plea deal.

If you're gonna try to take such a hot position I recommend you at least know who is eligible to vote on HOUSE bills. Hint - SENATORs are not.

You might be right, but if I were Vance I'd think Mar-a-Lago would be way safer with all the USSS, Trump's personal security, surveillance, restricted airspace, and a club full of people that would likely intervene if anything happened.

Maybe Vance just wants some normal family time with the wife and kids over Christmas and New Years before being locked in a bubble for 4 years (or more).

Bah. I'm missing all kinds of variables that I don't even know about. This is at best a WAG, but I don't think these would be capable of boosting that much weight since they are designed for a much lighter (comparatively) payload. I think they would "blow their load" too quickly to be able to lift more weight and either burn/blow up or just sit on the launchpad burning the ground.

It was fun trying to flesh it out though.

I guess this is one of the rare times we can say "this is rocket science" instead of "this ain't rocket science".

Grok says this:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's net worth has been the subject of various claims and misinformation online. However, according to her financial disclosures and credible reports, her net worth does not approach the millions often claimed in social media. Here's a more accurate assessment:

Financial Disclosures - Her most recent financial disclosure in 2023 shows assets between $3,004 and $46,000, with liabilities including student loan debt estimated between $15,001 and $50,000. This suggests her net worth might be modest, potentially even negative if her liabilities exceed her assets.

Fact Checks - Numerous fact-checking organizations, including Reuters, Politifact, and USA Today, have debunked claims that she is worth millions, specifically addressing the $29 million figure which was cited without basis. Forbes has also clarified that they have not reported such a figure for her net worth.

Given this information, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's net worth appears to be significantly less than what is often claimed in social media or by certain websites. Estimates from credible sources suggest her net worth is closer to $125,000 to $200,000, far from the exaggerated figures circulated online.

Note that while social media and certain websites might claim higher figures, these claims have been repeatedly debunked by reliable sources.

========

Also - if AOC owes as much as $50k for student loan debt she should demand a refund. Maybe it helped her but she would've had to be Gump level stupid.

THIS WILL KILL YOU.

All of them can leave for all I care. Haven't watched 1 second of FNC in 4+ years and never intend to again.

I missed that in real time. I guess there was too much winning.

That's what I suspected because - democrats. The feds should audit and demand payment, and that could lead to the project being shut down. Thanks.

If Kash destroys the FBI and makes the HQ building into a museum of the Deep State there should be a media room where Blazing Saddles plays on a loop 24/7.

The museum itself would cause a liberal meltdown, but the media room would be the icing on the cake - as long as they put public streaming cams with audio in all 4 corners of the room. Oh - no censoring.

Someone ELI5 how DOGE can cut funding on a State project? Did the US govt contribute or promise funds? If so, then by all means stop that funding. But the Federal govt can't stop State projects just because of budget overruns.

I think it is a completely stupid idea for that train, but if the morons in charge in CA want to do it then they can until the citizens of CA pick up torches and pitchforks.
