He doesn't really know or care if the vaccine causes infertility - people are choosing to delay pregnancy anyway. The baby boom isn't going to happen, but he could still make a quick buck if the delayed pregnancies do happen after he buys back the falling stock.

After seeing the evergreen truck in Taiwan, I think that China may be behind it. Taiwan hasn't been that globally significant outside of containing China. Hurting the global economy with the Suez Canal blockage and the odd truck in Taiwan makes me think China wants to continue the global recession and ramp up a cold war. Targeting Taiwan is just too suspicious.
