A virus prompts an immune response. What you see as "infection" in a viral state is the immune response. It's not an infection in the sense of something being "infected", like a wound gets infected. That's bacterial.
I'm anti this Covid vaccine, but it's not that it will "infect" the DNA - it's not... that simplistic.
The issue with the vaccine is that it's mRNA - which means that it is going to prompt an immune response (by creating antibodies) which is undefined long term. No one knows how it will effect the immune system long term, in the sense of how it will hence-force interpret other encounters with Corona Viruses.
