I have a friend who thinks "Qanon" will just push the date further and further and nothing will ever happen. Like a doomsday sect (World will and 2010 - did not happen okay world will end now 2012 - did no happen so it ends.. and so on). I am not quite sure what to say to that.. I mean it's possible but my guts say no and how I see you guys you are critical thinking and not a blindly following sect.

He's smart and talented but can't operate in a nuanced gray world... its all facts and figures... a real see it to believe it person. Some people have to be shown before they understand.
It's possible that it's a psyop. A few thoughts (negative and positive):
It's sounds to good to be true.
Stuff like "falseinfo is nessesary" and "just trust the plan" can explain EVERY wrong prophecy.
If there is big evil on this planet, then there is also big good (so if the deep state is as evil as we think, there needs to be a counter force)
Even if it's a psyop, it still united a lot of people and taught them critical thinking (if Q is psyop of the deep state, then they just created another problem for them that they have to deal with later)
If Q is a psyop, then Trump is a psyop too. And a lot of other people risk their reputation and maybe more.

The possibility of Q being a psyop has crossed my mind many times. So many things that I once believed to be true, have turned out to be false that I can not be a "true believer" in any movement. I remain hopeful and a little nervous.

All Q does is get you to think for yourself and discern the truth out of what you see being reported to you.
