It is my belief that historians of the future will need our writings to decipher the truth of what really happened. Fake news and the recent purge are going to make it nearly impossible to rely on digital information to piece together our stories, and The Truth.

You write today's date. Then you write down what happens today and what you think about it.
Repeat every day.

I believe I was inspired by God to start my journal. I started it on January 1st 2020. So I have about 2 months of normalcy and then shit hits the fan.
I just keep it in chronological order. Each entry I make is titled with the date of the entry. I underline that date to set it apart from the rest of the journal, and then I simply freewrite my thoughts or what I have seen happen.

I started typing out a summary of each day starting this year. Going to transfer to my comp and print. Won't write as much if I journal. Literally told my husband they're erasing history right before our eyes.
I don't think that's the case. Once the shit goes down DJT will initiate the EBS and then the truth -- declass of everything -- will come out in a factual, rational timeline of events that led us to this point and the fact that 1000's of our fellow Americans were arrested for treason and sedition and conspiring with CCP China.
I believe this will be broadcast on every channel along with George, OAN and possibly Newsmax.

Keeping a journal is a great idea, and not just for the reason you listed, although that's good.
It helps you keep your mind clear and organize your thoughts.
You also become a better writer and start looking more deeply into things.
I completely agree with this. These recent events will probably be scrubbed from history or continue to be distorted so that the truth will be lost.
I've been kicking myself for not having a daily planner and writing everything that happened day to day for the last 10 years let alone the last 1-5. I mean, everything is leading up to this moment in time. Its amazing to think of the notes I could have passed on.

We are living in truly historic times. Your kids & grandkids will ask you to tell them stories about this time, especially when it all actually HAPPENS.
I definitely suggest keeping a journal to write down your thoughts, opinions, etc. and save important photos, articles, websites, etc.
Something like EverNote or OneNote is perfect for clipping & saving screenshots, paragraphs from articles, or entire articles & webpages.
Personally, I can type very fast so I type into a digital journal; don't limit yourself to handwritten, but absolutely, 1,000% especially now that we are officially in 1984; BACKUP ALL YOUR DIGITAL DATA.
Something as simple as a USB that you connect once a month, run a backup, and stash it somewhere safe, is sufficient.
