The facial expression is kind of... frumpy. But I dunno. There are micro-expressions in there that I can't read. Maybe meaningful between them.

The photo was likely taken on film. No live viewfinder and a thousand shots to get it perfect with feedback. Maybe this was the best of 3 photos that they took?
