It wouldnt be a personal choice if they did. All are required to render a salute to the Commander in Chief whether they like him or not. It is in their General Orders and punishable by punitive action if not followed.

I didn't want to watch the whole painful ordeal, I looked at the laying of the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, no salutes. Curious, I went to Trump when he was President-elect and laid the wreath - he was saluted!
Do you have a time stamp of Biden receiving salutes? Because when he parroted "salute the Marines" they had not saluted him, and that was after swearing in when they returned inside.
I'm pretty sure he was saluted by marines inside the capitol before the inauguration. But I watched the entire stream on the 20th and remember him being saluted

I went back to President Trump laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier on the 19th of Jan 2017, he was President-elect, not even sworn in yet - and everyone saluted him.

I heard them get called to present arms off screen in the video where Sleepy states "salute marines" instead of saluting the door guards. I'm not sure that the door guards are supposed to salute in that circumstance but others were being called to salute.
Enlisted Personnel are required to salute first, then higher rank salutes back. High ranking initiates carry on by ending sallite, then enlisted is allowed to drop salute.
I have not seen this yet, although it may be because when I see Biden I am ready to vomit so I avoid watching him entirely. OP has a point, if anyone has evidence of military saluting POTATUS please post, I would like to kill the hopium.

My point being, if none of our enlisted military salutes him that means something is up.
I haven't seen video of it yet. But, just because I haven't seen it. Doesn't mean it's has not happened. I just want to see it so I don't hold on to false hoping.
I was enlisted as well and I recall this coming up during the Reagan years that some of the Marines at certain duty stations didn't salute each time he came by. Unless we are on presidential detail in these certain circumstances or get hold of the FM I don't think we know.
Some "groups" saluted, some didn't. Looks like it just depended on how moto their platoon, company and battalion commanders were.
That's why you see chunks of soldiers refusing to salute. They either had no specific orders from some moto dick sucker and made the descision themselves to all post security rather than salute.
