It wouldnt be a personal choice if they did. All are required to render a salute to the Commander in Chief whether they like him or not. It is in their General Orders and punishable by punitive action if not followed.
Look up HMX-1. That is the Presidential helicopter squadron that is based in Quantico, Va. The Ospreys there are all green. They are tasked with transporting high level Govt Officials. They also maintain Marine-1 which is the Helo in the bottom pic or a "white top". That is the helo that flies the POTUS. They are all active Duty Marines. They do not have any specific MOS different from a similar Marine Squadron of the same Type-Model aircraft. Only difference is the Marines assigned there are volunteers and have been cleared with a Yankee White Top Secret level clearance if they work directly with the POTUS section of the squadron or the "White Side", all others that are pending a clearance work on and maintain the green MV-22s or what is called the "Green Side".....

Including “Marine 1” which is the white top helo that flies the POTUS around. Regular MV22 Osprey aircraft from the combat units are gray with different markings.
