Santa Ana winds gust pretty strong upwards of 70mph. But this is an odd time of year. Normally occur in October and early April.
I live in the mountains in SoCal and can confirm. If it's windy I'll get texts from SCE and ATT that the electric may go out. This is new and has only been happening this last year
Ya..Libtards will not clear the area's around the powerlines, Sooo, if they go down, then the fires start and high winds do not help...Sooo they just turn OUR power off. I Love went Trump told Newsom, no more Fed $ until you clear out the Forrests and surrounding areas. These People ARE Stupid!

There has been really bad wind here in NorCal since yesterday afternoon, so I would assume it's mostly downed lines/tree falls.
A lot of it is mostly North with almost 100k in San Joaquin County
Lots of downed trees here in Sacramento County, and family up in Butte County has reported the same.
Sacramento County has close to 90k and Butte County has 5400
Im in butte. Insane winds! I am a texan so was a surprise to me when they rolled in yesterday. Didnt know they got like this up here. But yea, power is always out somewhere here
It's rare but happens every few years. Last night was hell!

They turn off all the transformers because if the fire hits them they will explode and make even more fire, with the potential of blowing more out further down the line where there isn't even a fire.
On top of that, since their move to green energy, they have no ability to stockpile energy or increase production to make up for the drain.
If anything stresses a green energy grid you have roaming brownouts. It just can't keep up. If you have a coal plant, you just put more coal on the fire. You can't beg they sky to make more wind or the sun to shine brighter.
They really set themselves up for any disaster to send them into a tailspin.

Like the downdetector.com crap. This stuff is just clogging up the feed. Hiccups can and do happen with access to websites; depending on where you're located. Power outages do occur; depending on where you're located.

Sacramento has been brutal, and it just gets worse every year. We need President Kamala and Joe to get back into the Paris Climate Accords, sign Kyoto, and all cut our power consumption by 70% starting NOW. And if ya don't slow your electricity binge, you start losing privileges like drivers license, voting rights, and your firearms. We're taking this human created climate disaster seriously. We’ve been having some really strong Santa Ana winds. When that happens, they shut off power to prevent fires from down power lines.
Wind. Power companies can't afford any lawsuits over fires started by their equipment failing.
