Find a good, bible believing church (because yes, even some churches have gone to the left and lost their minds) but above all, remember that it is God who is perfect, not man. People are sinners and they will disappoint you. Find your peace in God.
I have 2 sons who were raised as you in a Baptist church and are now militant/ardent atheists. Which breaks my heart...I would be interested in more details as to how God has been stitching your old atheist points right into his Truth seamlessly before your eyes! God is good always as He came back for you and now can use you, for those like us, who are still waiting for our wayward children to return. I will be praying for you.

Atheism will die. It's a fashion statement more than anything else.
Some career academic that larps as a scientist claimed very convincingly that atheism is "logical, rational and scientific".
The contrary is fact. But that doesn't stop clueless people from associating with it because it makes them feel smarter than they really are.
Atheists always make fools out of themselves. So just give it some time and the fad will wear off.
If you want to accelerate it, read up on the relationship between science and God before trying to figure out a way to show your sons.
P.S. I'm a mathematician, not religious, but if there's only one thing that I know for certain it's the fact that God is real.

The "religion" is struggling greatly. I really appreciate your testimony for multiple reasons, but one main reason. It shows that the Word is the truth. You did your own searching and through that saw how much the church has been corrupted. Be warned, as you progress the persecution will get worse. Stay the course and don't let anything put out your light. Your faith will guide you through any darkness you may encounter.
Praying for you. Keep praying for discernment and study God's truths--find a version of the Bible that speaks to you. I left the Catholic church 13 years ago and started attending non-denominational churches because I had lost trust in the Catholic Church. It is important to remember that those who minister are imperfect people too. They need our prayers as much if not more than we need theirs. I believe the enemy works overtime in people who are working to get God's word out. Stay strong, put on the full armor of God, and wait patiently for Him. Blessings to you.

Also, you don't need to know the truth unless you absolutely want to though. Just saying this so you know that there's no reason to obsess over it. Especially important if you ever feel stuck.
Nothing will change once you know, so make sure you don't chase in some blind hope to get a free ride ride through life thereon after.

OP - My journey with Jesus really became comfortable when I started to view myself as his child. God is love, and he created us to be in touch with him. As a father, I think of the absolute joy my children have given me. Truthfully just thinking about my 16 year old son who still gives me hugs brings me to tears (of joy). If I being an imperfect father, and my son being an imperfect son can both enjoy the company of each other, than how much more my God lives me. If you watch the movie “The Shack” they call God by the name of Pappa. It is that closeness that helps my walk. I also think about how I forgive my son his mistakes, and how much more God forgives me when I make mistakes. Whenever you make a mistake, go back and ask him to forgive you, and restore your relationship. God is love...
