Atlanta is mostly lost. We are moving to the family farm in south GA after decades of living in Atlanta. Its time to leave. The rest of the state is fine though. GA is a lot like Colorado. Although no where near as bad. All these recent elections were rigged.
Colorado was stolen also.
It's been deeply depressing living in CO, we have literally become a colony of California...it's bad here.
I know your pain, fellow rocky mountain pede
Yeah, I guess knowing what we know now its a false assumption to believe Colorado is as blue as it seems.
I had a step dad living there that insured me they’d vote red in 08. That makes me think that Obama was an actual Manchuriavoter Freud extraordinaire
Dominion did the electing in Colorado, getting inept and corrupt politicos into offices they could not run except by tyranny. Gifted votes at numbers just enough to put them in the lead-except for 2020, the machines had to be fed crap by the human drones to win... Not even fit for fertilizer..
Is it really lost though, or stolen?
Atlanta has some SERIOUS problems for real. IE where I live used to be 100% white conservatives in the 70s. Now its probibly 15% Black, 15% Indian and 15% Asian? I don't know the real numbers If I'm being honest, it might even be 20/20/20, but when I road the bus in the late 70s literally two Indian brothers were the only non-whites in my whole elementary school. Today I go to the grocery store and I'm the only white in the whole building sometimes.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a racists. I don't really have a problem with them because they aren't white. The black lady that just moved in next door seems nice enough. The problem is most of them vote based on race because they are brainwashed. So they vote for crazy Democrat(Socialists) just because they are black or Asian.
Making matters worse... a perfect example. The older couple next door(other side) who we didn't get along with at all but they were old school. The man died and the daughter finally moved the mom to a care facility. They sold the house and poof. These two people move in that are clearly white but I'm going to be honest I'm pretty sure they are lesbians. I haven't been brave enough to talk to them, and they don't seem interested in talking to me either. All I know is all three of their vehicles are covered in coexist and Obama and/or Biden stickers, at least 3-6 on each.
Forget who is what race. Out of maybe 80-100 houses in my neighborhood there is 5-10 BLM yard signs, but only 2-3 Biden signs and one guy has up a Trump sign. I'm 99% sure his Trump sign has been stolen at least once or twice cause it keeps moving randomly. Generally closer to his house. Honestly I wanted to put up a Trump sign and a Q flag and an American flag and a giant fuck communism sign. But let's just say someone with more authority than me put the kibosh on that. And I halfway agree. It would put a huge target on us. We're literally living in enemy territory.
And the nail in the coffin. For decades Gwinnett County has been a bastion of red values. Great parks, great schools, and a mostly not corrupt county government. Well either election fraud or it just happened or both I'm not sure but this time around it went solid blue. Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton and Cobb are all solid blue and have 90%+ black/leftists leaders. They are all insanely corrupt 3rd world shit-holes. For ages Gwinnett has prevented MARTA from extending into this county because with easy access comes crime. Now with it going blue they will bring MARTA here and make it a sanctuary county. Stop enforcing the law randomly etc etc etc. All that crap is on the table.
In 10 years I bet this house which has constantly gone up in value will be worth 80% or less what it is now. All the people with money of any race will flee and it will become yet another liberal crime filled pseudo slum.
I moved into this house when I was two and a half years old. I'm 50. I know its time to move on, but its just sad to see this area just go to shit. I'm moving to family land in south GA as a temporary measure but then I'm getting my shit together and probibly moving to FL. Mainly because I want to start a business and they have lower taxes. I have to figure it all out.
I guess what I'm trying to say is things are not getting better here in Atl. They are clearly getting worse. TONS of leftists are moving here from out of state because Atlanta has jobs. Then they vote in the same BS they fled from.
North Georgia is red. I am in Fulton, which sadly even in N Fulton has gone blue.
Same as Calif., almost everyone I know is conservative.
Atlantan here!
Do what Washington (or Oregon, I don't remember which one it was) did and start a petition for the rest of the state to join Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina.
I lived in Atlanta from 90 to 05 and loved it. Never heard about or noticed the corruption. (Well there were a lot of strip clubs.). So much awakening this year that I feel slightly disoriented most days. I’ve never considered myself naive. I knew wrestling was fake. ☺️ I knew that a state lottery “for the schools” really meant that you sent that money to the schools while diverting the money that used to go to them. But wow what a year!
I live near the Gwinnett/Dekalb county line. I can drive a few miles to Dekalb and the neighborhood streets are full of potholes. They are horrible. Here in Gwinnett every 10-15 years they come through and do a nice job resurfacing. Its so bad my nephew visited like 5 years ago from out of state and he even asked me why it was like that... bad in one place but fine a mile away.
Its not just about lack of money. In Dekalb they hire the company owned by the family friend or relative of the county commissioner. They pay top dollar but get shit service so they can make fat profits etc etc. Typical corruption coming and going. In Gwinnett some of the same stuff happens but the company might get paid top dollar and they do a good job. So yeah they make profits but at least the roads are fixed properly. Or at least that's my theory. Results matter even if there is a little bit of corruption in Gwinnett.
When I say Atlanta I mean the whole metro area. Down town... Fulton county? LOL! That was lost long long ago.
It's not just Atlanta, it's all major cities. The true America spirit of freedom thrives in small cities but the big cities do not represent American freedom. It is a real complete fucking shame though because many from big cities don't know shit about nature, wildlife, this beautiful planet we're on. Many of them only know their big ugly nasty concrete jungles with people living on top of each other in apartments like rats in cages. Millions of Americans just want to live life in peace and enjoy it but big cities just want to destroy everything.
I'm in a big city in FL but when I moved here, I never planned on it being long term but just a few years at most. I guess you could say a stepping stone in my path to a new chapter in life. Many things in life require patience because many things never happen over night but wow, this these big cities everyone is always in a hurry as if they always have to be on the move, on the go. Those people never stop to just soak it all up, how great life can be. Hell, even those in a big cities have city parks, county parks, state parks, national parks which all are places with some form of nature to enjoy.
Years ago, my dad used to get up about 6am and sit out front, in front of his house smoking cigarettes and feeding bread to the many squirrels in the front yard, a perk of having lived in the county. That might sound boring to some and pointless to some but although I don't do that, I do enjoy nature and everyone should put their supposedly busy life on hold long enough to just soak it all in. Also remember that people in foreign countries typically will have it far worse than us in life.
Big cities are like a cancer and honestly there should be a way to restrict how many people can live in a city and county to prevent it from being so overly populated. Much of America is not populated, much of the population is condensed into this big city concrete jungles.
^ CNN probably.
Lmfao well played my good sir
Grew up in the ATL and have lived here for decades. I share your (sarcastic) sentiment about the city. It’s lost and am researching another Red county / State to relocate. If we could just take ATL out of the state, GA would be great.
That's what the good people of Illinois say about Chicago!
