Daily Plane Post 2/5!
✈️ Planes ✈️
Daily finds:
- One of the 'small' AF1s is up taking Biden to Delaware
- Someone snuck into Joint Base Andrews and 'boarded some planes'
- Plane commonly used as AF2 or for high level cabinet members is headed across the pond after a stop in DC via u/grooveinspired
- There has been an unusual increase in military traffic over the last two weeks both foreign and domestic.
- The nuclear EMP defense capable doomsday plane is doing some moving, which isn't unusual. However it appears to have made a recent stop at Andrews (DC) which is not often on its travel route.
- Gitmo flights via - u/haveyoulostyourmind From u/MakeWorldGreatAgain Europe:

- AF1 alternates between 2 different flights reg number: 82-8000 or 92-9000, but they may be flying a test flight if they aren't putting up the AF1 callsign.
- The callsign "AF1" does not need to be used to mean POTUS is onboard, they may use a different one for security
- VENUS indicates a training mission Side note: if anyone is a front end dev or knows react/vue we need you for a project. Happy flying!
Planefagging is addictive. Any advice what I can do to prevent myself from ignoring all other aspects of my life just to watch pixelated plane icons all day?
kek
Sorry, there is nothing. You are officially addicted. No hope.
??
Same lmao. Just like I’m wondering why a SAM plane came back from UK ?
E-4B "Doomsday plane" flying east from Offutt AFB: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=adfeb6
"The E-4B serves as the National Airborne Operations Center and is a key component of the National Military Command System for the President, the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In case of national emergency or destruction of ground command and control centers, the aircraft provides a highly survivable command, control and communications center to direct U.S. forces, execute emergency war orders and coordinate actions by civil authorities."
This seems like a very big deal right?
The are based in Offutt and fly almost daily.
It is always a little bit of a big deal for this particular plane to fly, but it does do a few flights every week. It is very expensive to fly, but they need to train and make sure everything is in working order. Keep an eye on it, though, you never know when it will end up somewhere odd
Gas is still cheap. Gotta get those hours in before the green new deal kicks in!
Last night I tracked four SAMS - all landed in DC. This morning it looks like only SAM689 is on the move. https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=adfeb8,adfeb9,ae0945,ae115d
So it landed at Andrew’s last night, left from Andrew’s to SLC and then left SLC?
Let's get some facts straight.
"2 main planes are used for AF1, but the callsign has to be "AF1" to mean Biden is on."
The President can be on any Air Force plane and they MAY use the call sign AF1
The president can be on an Air Force plane w/o using "AF1". happens a lot for security etc...
The call sign AF1 is not mandatory for a president aboard any Air Force plane.
Don't come in here and be rude. We're here to look at planes and have fun. I love people adding their opinions or information because we can always learn something new and that's why I put up the "general info".
I tried to be clearer further down the post about AF1 but I will edit it to hopefully come across more readable. I agree that sentence was muddy at best.
Sorry not trying to be rude, just factually correct with information to share.
I apologize if you felt it was rude, I try to be too the point with out to much rhetoric
Thank you for clarifying on the AF1 and AF2. I’ve been watching closely for over a month. Yesterday’s movements were very strange. But no one clarified the AF1 and 2. The SAM I knew. Thank you fren!
~350 military aircraft in the air over North America. Almost every day now.
It looks like he was scheduled to take his first flight on af1 today but thanks to an intruder yesterday it didn't happen....

Another interesting plane in the air from Offutt AFB: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae0941
"The WC-135W Constant Phoenix serves as an aerial collection platform for the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), supporting the detection and identification of debris from nuclear weapons detonations."
DITTO
A-10 isn't that a cannon, with a plane build around it?
That flight profile by the E-6B is a mission flight profile, not a training mission. Don't know what mission it was, but over water is usually VLF transmission.
Very Low Frequency transmissions. Signal can penetrate water to reach submarines.
Are we still in COGCON2
More facts to be straightened out
"AF1 alternates between 2 different flights reg number: 82-8000 or 92-9000, but they may be flying a test flight if they aren't putting up the AF1 callsign"
There are two Boeing 747's that are specifically for The President's use. Tail #'s 28000 and 29000. They are pronounced "Two Eight Thousand" and "Two Nine Thousand" and the regs above are correct with an additional digit in front of the tail number.
Please note that the call sign AF1 is not always used when the President is onboard and these two AC have been authorized for use by the president for other high level travel and missions. Not just presidential travel or training!
There are at least 10 Warships off the West Coast.Usually 3 or 4. I have also been following some Yellow High-Speed crafts ( Yellow Means Military Craft) for about a week. I watch them leave from California Coast go past Hawaii. Now they are getting close to Japan's coast. It is about 20 of them. They have been moving in formation. They are now getting close to Japan's coastline. Strange location for training? Mammoth Cave NP is right there...could they be looking for D.U.M.B.s?
psa: D.U.M.B.s (Deep Underground Military Bases)
had to look it up
www.stripes.com someone boarder af1
Do you think they'll use this as an excuse to not fly biden tomorrow on AF1?
I'm excited to see there is a daily post here! Thanks for putting this up!
SAM637 Gulfstream C-37B entering CONUS from Rhamstein (sic) AFB in Germany.
Vas is los?
RC-135S flying northwest from Offutt AFB: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae01d7
"The RC-135S Cobra Ball is a rapidly deployable aircraft, which flies Joint Chiefs of Staff-directed missions of national priority to collect optical and electronic data on ballistic targets."
Two more E-6B Mercurys in the air: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae040e,ae041b
"The E-6B is a dual-mission aircraft capable of fulfilling either the TACAMO ("Take Charge and Move Out") mission or the airborne strategic command post mission and is equipped with an airborne launch control system (ALCS). TACAMO links the NCA (National Command Authority) with naval ballistic missile forces during times of crisis. The ALCS is capable of launching U.S. land based intercontinental ballistic missiles."
Love the addition of the plane details, thanks
I hope not.
I've been copy and pasting that so long into this thread I can't believe no one else noticed! Thank you, I fixed it :)
Happy to help!

Has the Triton been spotted today?
CNN will say it was Trump.
Or that it's Qanon's fault if the Dems do something to his plane
Well I guess that means Biden boarded AF1...
SAM735 and VENUS92 have left DC. https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=adfeb8,ae206d
1400 EST, more than 30 Refuelers up.
U.S. drone over south Chyna sea: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae5c76
At least according to twatter planefags that is MQ-4C Triton.
"Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft system (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. Triton is equipped with a unique and robust mission sensor suite that provides 360-degree coverage on all sensors, providing unprecedented maritime domain awareness for the U.S. Navy."
What happened to monkey werks. He shut off comments and became a cuck about info.
I live near an AFB and just heard a jet fly over, but didn't see it on the exchange. Transponder is just off?
They're doing flyovers...
the red headed buffoon said that Biden flew to Delaware on AF1 is this true????
he is supposed to tomorrow I believe. We shall see
One would think that there would be video evidence of 'the most popular president evaaah' getting on or off AFI (or Marine 1 to AF1), being saluted by the military, being greeted by his multitude of fans, etc., (if it already occurred).
