They actually don't launch the shuttle anymore. The shuttle has been retired for a while now actually.
I'm not saying the moon landing was or wasn't fake, but the launches you've seen aren't to go to the moon if they were recent. Those go into low earth orbit usually and don't need to worry about things like the Van Allen radiation belt. The last time we sent a person to the moon in our accepted history was 1972.

No, they lost the mission and the budget and the program. You don't go anywhere or do anything without those three essentials. They got into the Keep NASA Employed mode. Artemis is Trump's initiative to do it again, but NASA will probably succeed at bungling it, despite Bridenstine's push to get them to abandon the fluff and perform to task.
Space aliens are an open question and the Moon landings are established fact. The reality was difficult; a hoax would be impossible. I haven't been rudely awakened for 50 years and I expect that to be true right up to my final breath.

It's because it's significantly cheaper to send probes. We made the choice to abandon the Saturn5 rockets and focus on closer orbits. There was nothing of value on the moon. There is no reason to send a man farther into space. It's not that we don't have to means. It's that we don't have the motive.
