The Legislative branch just ruled that it was a constitutional action. The irony that those judgements are relegated to the Judicial branch, and that the Legislative branch does not have the constitutional authority to make determinations of constitutionality was lost on almost everyone.

I have not watched the second Trump impeachment proceeding. I did not watch the first one either. In my opinion, they are both fake.
Speaking of fake, has Joey “Bribes” Biden held a real press conference yet with real reporters? The question asked by Al Roker on the street during the fake inauguration does not count.
That was just to move forward with the trial. The defense was saying he should not be tried in the Senate because it goes against the Constitution. The vote today was about that alone so, we move forward with the trial. He gets to show ALL the evidence!
Schumer will just pull some kind of fuckery and say he can’t show evidence, etc. This whole thing is a sham, and a lot of Dems will be just fine with a miscarriage of justice because Orange Man Bad.
They think that if it’s used against someone they think is evil, it won’t be used against them.
But, as someone else said, it does set precedent. I wonder which former president will be next? Or, a former Speaker of the House, or a former senator, or a former representative. The list is long!

I don't think it matters. Even if they end up impeaching/convicting him, it's still meaningless for a civilian. Just theatrics.
