Having food in times of trouble may keep many of you from relying on the powers that be from having control over you. Understanding the geopolitical environment regarding food supplies is relevant.

I've stored food and water in abundance, but I've gone one step further: I'm pigging out while watching the Show and I've added to my survival chances by storing fat like a bear before hibernation. Sausage, eggs, toast, orange marmalade for breakfast this morning. Life is delicious.
Don't forget plenty of vegetable oil. It's cheap, easy to store, and is the most concentrated form of calories available. When/if SHTF, drizzle oil all over everything you eat
Encouragement to he prepared isnt dooming. Its wise. Christ himself talked about virgins being prepared with extra oil while waiting for the bridegroom, while others werent. Being prepared to meet your needs in the case of a loss in income, or natural disaster, or global catastrophe, is all the same. Knowing you can eat if things go south is a marvelous comfort.
Its ok. I live near a blue shity and will figure out how my family gets food. It will be hard if it happens, but im not worried atm. Im prepped but not my family.
Reminder that California didn't vote blue last year
yes remember that and dont starve us!!
I keep hearing this, but I haven't seen much evidence. I'm not doubting, I'm actually more inclined to believe that they voted red rather than blue, but I'm just trying to factually prove my opinions.
You always have the nicest things to say, don’t you? Are you not feeling festive enough? Must not have gotten any time off.
Can we get a campaign to salt his farmland going?
Live prepared!! I grow a huge garden. I can and freeze as much as I can working full time. Hunting and fishing provides meat. Always prepare for the worst....hope for the best!!
Kudos to you,I think the idea of a garden over a manicured lawn, is truly taking control over what we can. I'm not a doomer, but I understand the importance of being prepared for what may come, good or bad. A while back I used to watch that show 'Doomsday Preppers'
There was an episode that involved aquaponics, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxbAj3JjMZg that really inspired to this day. I believe we are soft as a nation and people, and have strayed far from the path of self sustainability. I always longed to regain the lost art of taking care of oneself, aka self reliance. I intend to utilize the old (and new) ways to be able to provide for my loved ones. My hope is that people will ground themselves and get back to our roots of community.
My goal with this post was not to illicit fear, but rather to provide hope and some guidance of what we should know and what we can do.
Another aquaponic link....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_zckvMTeto
I’ve been wanting to start my own aquaponics farm for years. Very fascinating. Can’t do it in my current small temporary house/yard though.
Given everything I've seen, the most likely scenario for the average citizen is that food prices will increase and variety will decrease for a while. I don't see an all out famine being allowed to occur but I also don't see how things won't be at least temporarily interrupted and thrown out of rhythm. Especially given the amount of international trade going on these days. So my advice is have some raw calories on hand first and foremost, rice, beans, dried or canned anything that keeps well for a long time. Make sure you also have a few bottles of a good QUALITY multivitamin with a far off pull date. If you're taking one of those every few days and getting a bare minimum of calories that could be the difference in a worst case scenario. That said I'm not expecting one, so once I prepare for the worst I move onto getting extras of all the first world comforts that might not be so easy to find in a moderate food crisis. Psychologically, having some of the little treats you like when they're hard to find can go a long way. There's a lot of different levels and angles to look at it all from.
If you're looking for food storage advice and direction, there are plenty of videos on YouTube. I watch the provident preppers, because they are from my home state of Utah, and they know what they are talking about.
We can't stop trying to educate though. The data on corn, soy, and wheat contacts, alongside problematic weather trends is looming large.
I am only one, but I am one. I can't do everything, but I can do something. The something I ought to do, I can do. And by the grace of God, I will. Edward Everett Hale
By nature, Pubs are more industrious and self sufficient than Crats. I don't know if it was always that way. Something to do with relying on oneself and wanting the government out of our way.
Grand solar minimum
This is what our world is fighting against right now....Agenda 21 and President Trump is leading the charge. https://rumble.com/vdtp8p-the-agenda-for-the-21st-centurythe-united-nationsworld-banking.html?mref=ckg11&mc=48u9h
Yes you are correct. https://wakeup-world.com/2014/08/05/agenda-21-the-plan-for-a-global-fascist-dictatorship/agenda-21-simulated-reserve-and-corridor-system-to-protect-biodiversity/
There are already short supplies in some of the groceries I buy, so I stock up every week. I have never run out of groceries or toilet paper. It doesn't cost that much to buy just a little extra every week. Even in any apartment, there is room for storage, such as under the bed and behind the couch.
If you live in the country get some chickens, plant a garden, talk to your neighbors, fill your freezers.
Commercial shelf stable food is a short-term solution. Long term requires having the ability to grow and trade for food.
I was just going to post the same thing. A few chickens will lay more eggs than your family can eat.
I have food allergies to wheat unfortunately and there is wheat in foods that u wouldn’t even think would have wheat in them, also if anything contains soy it’s the same situation. Kinda screwed up in this regard as I was In the hospital recovering from allergies in august for about a week, unfortunately something as small as a bread crumb can set me off. rly hope nothing catastrophic, I mean of anything does happen I think it’s gonna not be as bad as you think, but we should all prepare for the worst in the case it does happen and trust in god...
One big reason for the massive spike in wheat allergies is the fact that they started using glyphosate during the drying process. Glyphosate is the main ingredient in RoundUp.
So basically, every time you eat anything with conventionally grown (non organic) wheat (bread, tortillas, cakes, muffins, etc), you are consuming trace amounts of pesticide, which triggers an immune reaction and systemic inflammation.
Soy is almost 100% genetically modified, and those modifications have been shown to transfer to gut bacteria, making your own genes start doing crazy shit like making you resistant to antibiotics.
Gotta read labels and AVOID ALL GMOs AND CHEMICAL INGREDIENTS.
Check out Mercola.com, naturalnews.com and cosmeticdatabase.com for more info on identifying toxins in food and products.
The big problem with wheat is that we're using a completely different species of plant. There is very little resemblance between current wheat and wheat of 100 years ago.
Avoiding wheat 100% is a good thing.
That, too! Once I stopped eating wheat about ten years ago all my horrid allergies went away. UNtil this year. The cedar got me at last.
Yep. Soy sauce, tofu, tempeh and miso, I believe. But ONLY ORGANIC.
Even those are questionable, though.
Only if it is organic and fermented.
I like that you know about this too.
100% THIS^^^
Yep. I grab a cart from the parking lot, refuse sanitizer and say "No thanks!" to the mask nazis. Bag my own groceries in my own bags.
See? I'm greeeeen. (So eff off leftie covidiots!)
rice and beans seems to be a healthy basic - easy storage, not usually allergy-causing. Doesn't take much room to store enough for a couple months at least.
Essential vitamins and minerals are basics to be considered as well. Without them we will be sickly and riddled with dis-ease.
We've just gone into a snap lockdown again and the day it was announced, all of the supermarkets were rammed with people panic buying. They had to put limits on items. It made me think after the 2 fairly lengthy lockdowns we've already endured, it amazes me that people still haven't thought to stockpile at least a small amount to save themselves from shortages.
Vegetable oil, like soybean oil or canola oil is toxic. Get cans of Extra Virgin Olive oil instead. Costs more but won't kill you.
Yes. They're coming. So are even worse things. So keep preparing and sticking up. When the so-called "the experts" say to have supplies long enough to last a few weeks, you MUST have enough to last AT LEAST 6 mths, or at least have the ability to keep procuring supplies, i.e. a garden and the ability to hunt and fish.
