Looking back, a few things become clear. We know for sure the "Insurrection" was clearly a staged event. Was it only for setting Trump up? Look at what it taught all of us: Storming the Capitol is the worst crime imaginable. I believe this was a two pronged event. Stage an uprising to set up Trump and at the same time teach the people the Capitol is hands off. Could this possibly be to protect themselves after they pass legislation soon they know will cause every American to want to storm their Hallowed Halls of Justice? Lastly, we understand if this was their plan, it was done by people in charge other than Pelosi and Schumer. They're not that smart.

Interesting point. It's pretty clear they don't think of the capital as "The People's House", and they obviously don't feel or believe that they are there to represent "The People of the United States".
The sooner the hangings start, the better. But maybe there should only be one or two a day. Make them sit in a long line - next one up for tomorrow is "...."
That would actually work really well., only problem is it has to happen pretty fast. With over 600 people, it would be better to do at least 10-20 a day
It allowed the mob to increase censorship and intimidate everyone to stop all talk of election fraud, especially Trump. It is possible Biden would have been taken out inauguration day, but the "insurrection" stopped it.
It also divided families. Those that went thinking/hoping to ‘celebrate Traitor dence doing the right thing,” and those at home looking to further vilify those who dare think for themselves. I heard a lot of why don’t you just go along with what “everyone” is thinking an accept Biden is better for America....to now look at yourselves! You’re a bunch of crazy people trying to tear apart America because your guy didn’t win. Look now everyone thinks you are dangerous and probably are in some kind of trouble. (Deep sigh....)
When all of this is over, this will be the most significant impact on our country -- the division of families due to hyper-politicization of thing thing that normal reasonably people usually just have mild debates over.
The culprits MUST be held accountable for this very clear attack on the very fabric of our society.
We need to run a fine tooth comb through the fabric of society from the ground up. So many people just parroting out the communist anti-human nonsense, joined by others who team up and protect them.
In an odd way it did some of us a favor, looking back we can see that the only reason we put up with certain family members was only because of being related by blood or marriage when in reality neither of us gave a damn about each other before this. Sometimes it's best to just cut such people off and focus on the relationships that were not damaged in all of this.
When I think about it in general, too long has our country been creating a bullshit narrative. We can’t trust. There are no leaders.
And some serious disgust for people who think for themselves. Kind of reminds me of the bs commie social control/social credit system schools introduced through classrooms. ‘Class, we cannot have recess outside...or whatever... because little Joey was a bad boy so the whole class has to be punished.
Shame them, make them remain silent and keep them overworked.
I remember teachers back in the 90's harping on us about anti-intellectualism and having go through college myself looking back I can more easily see the point of view of the so-called "anti-intellectuals".
They are smart enough to fabricate a crisis and use it every way possible for their ends.... the main reason other than framing Trump is to set up the "domestic terrorist" version of the Patriot Act. They want ALL of us on watch lists and this is their path to achieve it and start "disappearing" us patriots. They want to make it a crime to love the country and even mention "fighting" for it. They want control by any means necessary.
The shirt is always closer to the body than the vest.
Burn down churches, SMB's? Riot in the streets? Chad? attack a federal court building? No big deal.
But God forbid, they have to poop their pants for fear of being dragged into the streets and ripped apart by a mob.
That is why thy clothe it in verbiage pertaining to religion. Holy, hallowed, etc.
The Declaration of Independence is quite clear: A government which does no longer protect the People's rights, but has become detrimental to it, can be abolished, should be abolished.
There is nothing hallowed to a hall. It is a building, a symbol.
Thinking in these terms, symbolism will be their downfall becomes more practical all of a sudden.
It could turn on them, remember the attack on DC when the church was burned and the storming of the Capital during the Kavenaugh hearings? You know, those "peaceful protests."
Trumps attorneys also did two things repeatedly that needed to be done. They reinforced the Constitution wherever they could and they reinforced free speech wherever they could. So many Americans think both of those things are in flux and they will never be.
Always been psychological warfare. I imagine plan was for higher participation and more violent outcome which would also have nullified perceptions of BLM violence. It would have nullified Trump Lawyer's arguments against BLM riots. Nomination for Nobel Peace Prize would seem less illogical and issuing the award would have further strengthened our demoralization, their narrative and BLM base for continued agendas.
Trump's delayed speech prevented a 911 or pearl harbor type event in scope. If there was a larger crowd the mob mentality would have been in full effect and observant people that helped in awareness calling out antifa and Alex Jones detering with a loud speaker would have had no impact in pacification. Leading up to Jan 6th I witnessed posts about call to arms in TDW and I question their identity and motives as many others have called them out as possible instigators. Im sure some were genuine posts of people fed up with it all but many may have been operatives attempting to incite gun violence. Ashley Babbitt event regardless if true event or not videos show that participants came out to the crowd screaming "they shot her they shot her" etc so it would be highly probable if people were armed outcome could have been far worse and there could have been actual shootings for the first time.
This would have provided justification for a full force retaliation and uncontested passing of Patriot Act Ver2 with sweeping bans on assault rifles and freedom of assembly etc. They would have had full support by general public and even we would have had the feeling that we have little to say to oppose it. The prosecutors would have had a strong case of gun violence for the Impeachment. None of the National Guard deployment would seem odd and they would have issued permanent occupation from the start. They would have had proper justification in their classification of Trump supporters as domestic terrorists(that they seem to be backing off of atm) and Military and law enforcement deployment with that bill about gun confiscation without warrant bill would have went into immediate effect nationwide.
Their goal was partially successful however. It was aimed to turn our and Trump's biggest asset against us, the people. Up until Jan 6 peaceful assembly was our greatest strength and had unstoppable momentum and effect. They made it so that peaceful assembly nationwide is a negative thing as I imagine there would have been many more protests after jan 6. Now it feels almost taboo to have one. Some have felt betrayal when Trump was forced to denounce the events of Jan 6 and him calling to back the law enforcement and law and order even though it was helpful in hindsight to his Impeachment. It was also fairly effective at demoralizing people for at least a good 2 weeks and sowed doubt and hesitation in our ability to act. This and everything you said was their goal and I have no thought they will continue to work on passing the bills.
I think you might be onto something... consider the narrative on “domestic terrorism” during that time.
Well - it’s changed slightly. Now it’s NOT a crime and loosely defined so Biden’s doing some work to crack down on it... wonder what the hell that’s all about! Everything they’ve done to get to where they are meets the definition of domestic terrorism!
Are they trying change the definition so people don’t realize that THEY ARE actually domestic terrorists???
It also taught us that without ALL THE ARMED PATRIOTS coming together as one giant army willing to physically fight, any storming of any Capitol, whether it be D.C. or a State Capitol, is futile.
It showed me how weak and defenseless congress is.
If we ever wanted to do it, it would be done.
