His story is pretty incredible. He was deep in his addiction (even in the beginning of creating My Pillow) but he was able to kick the habit finally once he fully committed his life to Christ. His life is a true testament to the power of God and keeping the faith even when times seem so bleak. I really believe God had a huge plan for him and that he was meant to help with this Great Awakening process. Interestingly enough he never cared about politics prior to Trump’s election in 2016. He said he cared so little that he didn’t even know the fundamental differences between R vs D (although this is sadly common.
