Are there reasons that I shouldn't try this? I think it could be a real unifier, while also getting us back to the constitution if there is a corporate pushback on the freedom of religious expression. I'm reading the Bible, but currently I don't have any concrete connection as to how Christianity prohibits mask-wearing specifically.

I don’t wear the mask. Period. If anyone says anything I just ignore them and keep going on about my day. No one where I live says anything about wearing a mask, the hardcore sheep just treat you like a leper. I did have one guy follow me around a grocery store in a lazy person scooter saying he’s going to call the police, I told him to go ahead, because they won’t enforce it and I will be gone before they get here anyway.
take a trip to DC. I was asked for the first time to double-mask, this week. I'm working for a compliant contractor, so I don't have the gumption to start flipping out on their customers. the whole job though I just get this uneasy feeling that all these weak men and evil women are going to tyrannize my children in the future.
no reason, and yes, it is a shithole. I Just mean, maybe the an anti-mask movement is where we can "peacefully protest" in a way much deeper than our unscrupulous opposites
uh-MAY-zihn. Whereabouts?
Western Virginia. Not West Virginia.
lol, got it. Well let us agree, you've got brass balls. The thing is that your brass doesn't help the timid people who don't have the constitution for confrontation. If someone sees you openly defying the maskcovidians, they'll just wish they were you. what if you said aloud, that Jesus didn't die on the cross so some weakling could tell you to strap a diaper on your face? I'm sure you can generate something much cooler sounding. What if our timid brethren heard you say that, and it clicked in them, that the Lord has our backs in this fight against what is today a petty tyranny, and tomorrow, a Satanist dystopia (or maybe utopia, lol)?
Ive been thinking about this too. It does go against our Christian faith to not walk in fear and it makes it a conflict for me Im trying to navigate too. The mask is based on fear not science. Its totally fear induced compliance. Fear of being fined makes stores comply, and fear of being kicked out of stores makes customer compliance. The fear in LV right now is extreme. And this is a completely dem run state, dystopian govt is sneaky and controlling. To share some of my thoughts as Im personally feeling conflicted and trying to sort it out too rn. Everything with the mask is from fear which is the opposite of faith. For biblical refs that literally come to mind in a real convicting way that prompts my thoughts on this how what is not in faith is sin Rom 14:23 and walking in faith is what pleases God Heb 11:6. Also 2tim 1:7 that walking in fear is not of God. A biblical consistency is faith pleases God and our own conscience before God. Theres a definite conflict within and before God as a Christian when walking in fear not faith. In addition, my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and I need to consider that in my decisions for my physical health.
This is great, and I really love the references too.
(((They))) showed us images of Chinese people dead on sidewalks and people in hazmat suits picking up their bodies. They put fear into people, and decided that they were going to make arbitrary rules for THOSE WHO ARE AFRAID, and need someone to tell them what to do. Their rules are infringing on people who aren't afraid, namely, those of us who have faith in God.
1st amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
last thanksgiving, SC ruled: There is irreparable harm to religious believers from being unable to attend in‐person services; it’s uncontroversial that even a temporary loss of First Amendment freedoms is a serious problem
I empathize with your plight. I'm only now renewing my faith, so perhaps I'm being ignorant to use Jesus as an excuse to navigate personal issues I have with "just putting on the damn mask", as our MD Governor said on TV.
Yet, what is this moment, but another battlefront in the war of Good Vs. Evil? The side of Evil has turned fear into a virtue for its adherents. I posted this idea because it just seems like this is such an opportune moment to place our love for God into the realm of competing ideas. I watch videos of people going apesh*t on store-goers without masks, but it's hard for us to unite as a group of people who are just socially stubborn, or ignorant of "muh science", whereas a group of God-fearing Christians, who follow the guidelines of the same bible that presidents swear on, have got to be a force worth reckoning with if we're going have any hope for our children's future.
I read somewhere that the Bible says "Do Not Fear" or "Do Not Be Afraid" or words to that effect over 100 times.
It's as if God said, "Don't fear mask-Karen."
In America today Christianity no longer has protection under the First Amendmenr.
Yeah, it probably wouldn't work. They'll just say that that's your inner supremacist talking and you should renounce Jesus in the name of Satan.
Sadly this sounds more real than joke.
It's real because the individual is the supreme unit. Satan amalgamates tribes to do his bidding, because it disables people from thinking for themselves when they need to tow a party-line to remain within the identity-hierarchy. Christ divides us into individuals, each with their own spirit, and that spirit, beyond our racial attributes, or political leanings per se, is what unites humanity.
Sadly, it's more real than a joke.
That would be great! If I went and told my libtard parents that they're literally supporting Satan, they'd think I was even more nuts than they already assume. If a video went viral of corporate hags saying hail Satan, put on a mask, that'd be perfect!
That is only true if we allow it to be so. Even if it is true, we have to test it. Push up against the edges of the cage. Test the boundaries, always.
precisely! when did it lose protection? with fighters like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz, the anti-christian crusade of the fear-mongering maskcovidians might be presenting us with an embodiment of the demonic forces that we can actually draw up a proverbial strike against. If it was in the name of christianity, if it was deemed wrong not just because masks don't work, but because forcing us to walk in fear is against our nature as God's creation, then maybe it could be deep enough to draw in both those with the courage to fight back and also the timid believers who don't have the courage to stand alone.
by corporations and politicians maybe, but not all. Isn't this a good way to go on the offensive? Trump was fallible in that he united so many people on his side, but equally so on the side of evil. The evil people are mostly casuals who think they're morally superior, but if they're suddenly caught on the side of the sheep who start mindlessly supporting the abolishment of protection of christians in the homeland, it could trigger a rift in the left, while further tempering the bonds of we the people who loves our constitutional republic and Jesus.
Our God given need for oxygen is our right. If our Creator wanted us to breathe less oxygen, he would have. Pretty simple to me.
Concise, thank you.
You could argue that you believe in God's sovereignty and that this is a demonstration of your faith that God will take care of you. If you wear a mask it goes against your religious belief and you believe it will offend God as it would be a sign of a lack of faith.
If they pull the whole "well what about other ppl" crap. You can say that God loves and protects them, too, and it's up to Him what happens to each individual. That you aren't in charge of that.
ooh great me-and-mask-karen pre-made dialogue :)
I do see that argument as the main-course. The Lord gave us discernment to determine our own risks, and he must always have supreme authority, which is why all tyrannical governments seek to eliminate religion. I won't walk with fear if a sign and some dirtbag on TV says I should, but THE LORD doesn't!
Replying to my own comment to add: God says some variation of Do Not Fear/Be not afraid, etc. over a hundred times throughout the Bible. Wearing a mask is showing that you are walking in fear. You walk in faith. My church handed out signs that say faith>fear. We have in person church, and I see less than 10 ppl wearing masks out of the hundred that go to my service.
Masks have been proven, umpteen times, to be ineffective (Danish study) and actually harmful (Spanish flu victims died due to mask wearing pneumonia - Fauci). All you have to do is be aware of these facts.
Those facts make wearing a mask an act of bearing false witness against thy neighbor.
Haha, I love it. Teensy problem I see with this is that, if we were dealing with people who gave a damn about facts, we wouldn't have a mask problem, a "Covid-19" problem, a BLM problem, and so on.
just say you have a medical condition and if they ask what either point to HIPPA or tell them your Dr and OSHA said you're required to breathe air with an oxygen content of 19.5% minimum and that wearing a mask reduces this concentration to well below this %.
I honestly have hardly ever had anyone hound me as to what the condition is. I usually just say it quickly and matter factly and go about my business not looking at them, leaving ot to them to be assertive if they so choose. the fact that they are wearing a mask still and asking you to wear one should suggest they are a sheep or a cuck and aren't likely to even push back.
it's when someone is trying to "protect" their business from being shutdown by health dept or some shit that their back hair may get up. just try explaining to them that per HIPPA they aren't allowed to ask you what your condition is and by having asked you they are in compliance like a good sheep.
if all else fails, leave. no use getting confrontational but you should not wear a mask unless you find yourself with no other option such as when you fly these days...even then I make sure that I'm very very slowly sipping water or nibbling on sunflower seeds for hours
I tell them I cannot wear a mask to a medical condition with the initials of CS I don't tell them it stands for "Common Sense".
I like that !
Got kicked out of Cracker Barrel for refusing a mash a couple weeks ago. Couple of conversations with the corporate offices “redefined” the managers policy. Have yet to test the promised correction because I’m still, angry and frankly don’t trust her to not spit in our food if we return but....I made a scene and hopefully taught her a lesson as to what happens when you disrespect peoples rights.
what's your argument?
great advice, appreciated. My thing is, is in it not probable, and maybe even an opportune moment, for us to use adherence to our faith in God and Christ to start going on the offensive in both the culture war (mask-sheep vs liberty-lovers), and the war of good vs. evil (Christians vs a tyrannical government/corporations/ideologies)?
Ezekiel 24:17. GOD instructed Ezekiel not to wear a mask when his wife died.
NIV
Masks make me cringe with the memory of the HRC allegations.
I have NOT and will NOT wear a mask.
I believe in GOD and His healing power. I believe in His protection of US. I believe in TRUTH.
Hey you found a biblical reference!
Yes! He alone can heal us, protect us, and show us the light!

UH MAY ZING ! I thank you greatly for this
Very very welcome??
Galatians 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
This is a freedom from sin and making our trust in God, not men, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord" - Jeremiah 17:5
Masks and social distancing burden my religious freedoms, therefore I cast off the yoke of slavery (fear) and trust in the Lord.
Very nice Mr.Swordfish. It's funny to me because one of my machinations was to put a strip of red duct tape, that I have, over my mouth and write SLAVE on it. They're threatening to take away services from us if we don't comply with their fear-mongering tactics. It's a bastardization of freedom. It is the conclusion of a plot to make slaves out of us and our children. We are totally within our God-given rights to stand firm and cast off their yoke of slavery!
lol, what's wrong with your body bro?!
We need to shuffle the deck, so to speak. All the people pretending to be religious, are just as bad as Antifa or BLM, etc. there are christians, and there are people following the "Nice doctrine". Churches with BLM banners should be in the same row as whorehouses, pot-shops, and credit-card companies. What I see as an opportunity here is to get people who are individuals, people who derive supreme authority from God, and not the government, to join up, against the tyrants, in the name of Christianity, which happens to be what makes America great IMO.
Here's a great article about the case against masks, presented by a religious Sister:

As a human mask wearing is against my biology.
haha, "but doctors wear masks"
Nah, it won't work. They will point to the many many self-identifying Christians who wear their masks like docile sheep. Not to mention that the legal protection enforcement is at best dubious, since they've worked diligently against any faith restrictions. If you're looking for an excuse, medical will get you far more sympathy and success than religious.
But if you want a principled stand, go maskless until compelled. You can also go for the crochet-style masks, or putting grommets in a mask, to highlight the stupidity and increase actual breathability.
lol, I've been rolling up the handed-out medical masks so it just covers me lips, in an effort to show people it's much more of a gag than a viral-defense.
What I'm searching for is a unifying standpoint so that we can herd the sheep, figuratively. Most of the people wearing masks, I hope, are just people who have been indoctrinated to give their allegiance to the highest bidder. They don't wear masks in the car, but if they're never going to put up a fight about wearing masks at work, schools, airports, then they'll rollover when Satan ushers in a 21st century communist revolution. God is the supreme authority, and this post is turning less into a question-beggar, and more of a call-to-action so that we can wake people up by reminding them that we don't answer to petty tyrants, but rather, the Lord.
Amen!
I mean, if the person you try to argue that with doesnt know the bible at all, then it might work. But the bible actually does command people infected with Leprosy to cover their upper lip with a cloth (wear a mask) in the book of Leviticus. I already looked into that argument myself. You can't justify not wearing a mask with the bible in any good faith. Sorry fren.
haha, were I infected, I'd agree with you, but to this day there's no concrete evidence that COVID-19 even exists. I'd point you to the excellent article that SFAM1A posted in this thread: https://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2020/12/the-case-against-masks-presented-by.html?m=1&fbclid=IwAR18gTyvbkrw01VkV2NNoqWQkWokMl_hi1SeQ5YaeRxmN5KcBUBd0HJcq4s
Who did?
Yea, I guess that's fine, but all governments and ideologies slide left, so without an ideological bookend, we're going to end up in the same place. Jews cut baby dicks, and slims have women wear burkas. The TRUTH is that my faith in God is what gives me courage to believe that (((they))) are lying to the public, and he is my guide that I'll follow with my family.
I'm prepared to assume that if every time I saw a video of someone being hassled for not wearing a mask were to have stood up and proclaimed their love for Jesus and adherence to the Lord's teachings, or the like, that we'd already have a deeper movement to adhere to, as oppose to just being people who don't like following orders or obeying "muh science".
