For a community dedicated to Q, one would expect this place to be able to sniff out the bullshit.
One would, and should, reasonably expect this, yes.
But there’s a strong faction here who evidently subscribe to the notion that expecting everyone here to do due diligence on the authenticity, veracity, and relevance of information and links before dumping that stuff here is “gatekeeping.”
The end result of this juvenile mindset, where “muh free speech” trumps my responsibility to fellow board members and the truth, with a standard response of “people can just figure out if it’s true on their own”, is functionally indistinguishable from disinfo trolling, no matter how fren-ly the intent of the poster.
This Durham clip is hilarious, and perfectly relevant to this board, but how could someone possibly post this and not bother to verify, or at least research and offer an opinion on, if it’s real or not, first? Or, at a minimum, just preface it with a “I can’t tell if this is real. Who can help out with this?” Rather than simply dumping it here, and leading a whole handful of gullible, well-meaning board members to respond as if it were real.

Huh? Not sure how or why that took such a quick, dark turn. Hopium, absent facts and evidence, is simply unserious. But underpinning all the frivolous “hopium” around here is a strong collection of evidence for real red-pill optimism. And that’s the stuff we need to distill, and share. The mere hopium, and the inside jokes, are genuinely fun around here as a lark, but will appear discrediting when shared outside to those who might be pre-disposed to thinking that’s all we’ve got. And the falsehoods and distortions... we have no genuine use for those, and they should be jettisoned as soon as they are identified as such.
Yes, the truth can often be more unsettling than comforting lies, but the truth will ultimately set us free. And that is the direction where true joy lies.

Truth is just truth. Joy or pain have zero to do with it. Until you get that, you will never see it. You will be lead around by your biases that bring you joy when confirmed. People believe what makes them happy and rationalize backwards from there.
