Second, intel was bad re EXTORTION17, along with the weather, which was originally forecast for clear skies, but in the mountains of Afghanistan, can go haywire in minutes. Visibility was low for the aircrews, but not for the terror groups on the ground, not with helo beacon lights flashing. Third, there's no call logs from DOD, State, the WH, etc, even from the SCIFs that point to DevGru being targeted.
I've said it numerous times here and at VOAT and I'll say it again now: THERE IS NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE THAT SAYS OR SUGGESTS EXTORTION17 WAS TARGETED BY THR DEEP STATE FOR ASSASSINATION.
The "reasoning" behind the claim doesn't make sense, either. Bin Laden wasn't an Iranian citizen. Iran gained nothing from killing DevGru at all. Neither did Taliban/al Qaida. And if the [DS] really wanted them sidelined or punished, [they] wouldn't have greenlighted the bin Laden raid in the first fucking place.
