Go to Florida. GA local government is extremely corrupt at the moment... Unfortunately ?
Florida is better than Georgia, at the moment.
Yes I would like Florida but he have so much drug and house are expensive now, and I think we can still save Georgia and keep it red if republican move there. We need to save red state.
As a resident of Florida, it’s like another country here. Red as can be.
Georgia is corrupt at the moment. Summerville South Carolina is a beautiful village, I don't think they make children under ten wear masks.
I can't imagine why you'd go to Georgia with all that corruption. I know it's beautiful there but I wouldn't expect their freedom to last very long. Florida seems to be where it's at right now. If I could talk my husband into it, I'd move either there or Texas.
I know, but Georgia still red, and if every republican leave their state , democrat will always win ! We need to be stronger and bring back the true patriot how love America. In Maryland we have nothing left for us to save, but in Georgia we can still save it .
Best of luck to you!
Agree. I haven't given up on Georgia. Lots of Patriots here. I have no doubt our corrupt governor and SOC will be primaried.
Abbeville, SC is nice, small, historical and conservative. If you decide on SC the Upstate is much more conservative than the Lowcountry.
Living in the Upstate, can confirm. Although they do require children to wear masks in school and of course the stores have their “policies”, I never wear one and nobody has ever said anything to me at all.
Same here. My grandkids go to private schools so no masks. I have yet to done a face diaper and I go where I want when I want. I've even visited a relative in the hospital twice and didn't wear a mask either time. Only once has a store employee challenged me and I calmly told him I wasn't a dog and I didn't need a muzzle. I promised him I wouldn't bite any customers. Later a lady in the store who I assume overheard what I told him walked up to me and said, "Thank you".
That’s awesome. I have to wear one or the equivalent at work but other than that, no dice. Happy to see another Upstater here!
I feel for you. Thankfully I'm retired. Good to see another Upstater on the right side of history.
It’s all good. I see McMaster is allowing remote State workers to return to work and removing State worker masking in office so it won’t be long until we can go without it I think. Cheers fren!
Montana bro. No doubt. Check it out. No hurricanes No crowds. And they are the first to push back against the China Virus mandates
Come to north Ga., we are the based ones who put MTG in the house. And we can always use more like minded, red blooded Americans.
West coast of Florida is the best of everything. Lived in pinellas county for 8 years. Moved to the Midwest because of a job opportunity but would gladly move back even with a substantial pay cut.
Grass is always greener as they say, but facts are facts. You get all sorts of people in Florida. The best and worst people I've met live there. It's just the nature of freedom.
I would stay away from Tallahassee - among other sins it is a university town (FAMU and FSU). Same with Gainesville and Tampa and Orlando - big city with universities are not the place to go.
Unfortunately, I think you will find GA to be increasingly like MD - just substitute Atlanta for Baltimore and that's where the control is. Too many economic refugees moving to ATL from NY and NJ and it will stay heavily blue, which then increasingly will carry the rest of the state.
FWIW, I suggest you look in the northern part of the state if you choose Fla - you need to think about evacuation routes and mid state and south is a wreck when storms come in
A final thought - it might be helpful to expand your search to eastern TN and northern ALA. I live in NoVA and am evaluating those areas for my move to freedom
Tn. is great. Right now they have a bill that has left committees in the house and senate that will do away with gun permits, making it legal to open or concealed carry.
They make kids where mask here in GA. But my county was named as one of the top 10 most corrupt in the old Geaorge magazine around 99 lol
I can't spell today dont beat me up
I don't think its all of Ga. My niece is in the Gordon county school system and no masks unless the kid wants to wear a mask.
I have a friend that lives in Georgia. Her kid has in-school classes and the mask nonsense isn’t forced on the kids. They let the kids, or more specifically the parents decide what is best for their child.
Florida is based period. Those guys weren't even wearing masks in the middle of summer last year
SC still requires masks in public schools, that is determined by the school boards. Private school does not, I am considering private or homeschool this upcoming school year bc the masks are ridiculous. At least my kid only has to wear it in the halls for the most part, but I am still not happy with it all together. Love this state though!
Not georgia
Batesburg-Leesville, SC
You mask free?
You might consider East Texas. There are a LOT of small communities in East Texas that are very reasonable in terms of living expenses. WE have no state or local income taxes, low sales taxes and low property taxes.
There are a lot of good jobs available in Eastern Texas as well. Keep in mind that Texas is always shown as being hot, dry desert or cow country. East Texas borders Louisiana and Arkansas. The trees and hills don't stop at the state line. We have terrific lakes, nice swamps (and bigger alligators than they have in Louisiana), great forests and wildlife... and you can be in nice rural small towns close enough for access to the cities.
Gainesville, Texas !!
Gainesville, Florida!!!
Georgia is a red state filled with patriots but much of our government has been corrupted. This will soon be resolved, I hope.
I would suggest north Florida or north Georgia. I think the political problem will resolve itself soon in GA.
South Dakota would be my second choice
Go to Florida , preferably West Coast depending on your occupation.. I am a true born and raised native Floridian 55 + years, and you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to get me out of the state. Northwest Florida, and a little bit inland,.. is best if you are unsure how you will handle a hurricane and want more of a good down south feel... I also lived in Sarasota for 20 years and I would argue probably the best place in Florida... you can make money hand-over-fist there, great Performing Arts Centre and galleries, the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, cost of living isn't that bad, and the night life scene is more refined then a college party town. On top of that, you're centrally-located and you can go anywhere else in the state in just a few hours.. I would stay away from Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Miami-Dade, Broward areas on the East Coast.. just don't bring any liberal ideas with you, LOL peace and hope this is some help
I live in GA but would also recommend Florida. If you DO come to GA, Valdosta is a no go. It's below the gnat line and VERY buggy.
I recommend North GA mountain area where masking is out but school is in. Lots of fine people there too...Patriots.
Forgot to say, Greenville, SC is an AMAZING town.
