It's weird, because I've known two people who are well within the riskiest areas that have survived with basically minor symptoms. My grandma is 80 with COPD and heart issues and she barely even felt covid
This thing rarely kills anybody, unless they're gravely ill or very unlucky. So what makes it different from the flu?
My sentiments exactly. I don't know anyone that it's killed... I've heard about it, but haven't experienced it personally. All the people I know that had it kicked its ass.
But I'm supposed to put my personal experience aside and treat this thing like Ebola? LOL no that's not how this works. It's like people looking up at the sky and calling the moon a foreign space invader... And I'm like, no, that's just the moon and you calling it a space invader is not going to make me go home and lock myself in my house and be fearful of my life. It's just the fucking moon!
I had a friend who was in his 80s who died of it but was a very healthy and active guy. I think they probably killed him somehow because they immediately put him on a ventilator and sedated him. After a couple months they said he wouldn't survive without a ventilator, he wasn't getting better or worse, and they needed the space for other patients, so they pulled the plug while he was sedated. I'm actually quite infuriated at it all, but here in PA they've done that to a lot of elderly I guess.

I know of one person that died from it but I know of many who had it and just got muscle aches, or lost smell and taste for a month.
My friend who lost his taste would gross out his girlfriend by eating disgusting combinations of food like yogurt on pizza or ketchup on ice cream xD
LOL!!!
It is the flu probably since there are no longer flu cases.
I know a 90yr old woman on oxygen and she had zero symptoms. Only got tested because her home health nurse tested positive.

Apparently they’ve been blowing out people’s lungs with the ventilators. That is sadly what probably happened to your friend.
That's because it was just the cold.
