""Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer at the Center for Astrophysics, tweeted a thread about the event, noting that this sort of debris re-entry is not uncommon. “This is the 14th piece of space junk with a mass over one tonne that has reentered since Jan 1st this year,” said McDowell. “In other words, about one a week. Plus lots more smaller bits of course.”"
yes, and I think it's space x debris, , but I think we were both alluding to that being a cover story for a satellite takedown.. I still think it's just spacex debris thou
I saw this happen in ID/UT 3 years ago. It’s what happens when the rocket components burn in reentry. Since SpaceX launches in CA, it always travels several hundred miles before burning up.
it's spacex debris

And MagaLout gets a gold star -- It was Elon Musk.
i mean, maybe. if it were a satellite that was taken down, something attached to it, and de orbited it, as opposed to just blowing it up, imho

Makes me think of Devo's Space Junk.
i love your user name
Haha! Thqnks!
Hey, this is a family channel. Keep it clean.
Don't their rockets come back to Earth on their own?
I love how hyped the kid in the video is.
It’s not a comet lol it’s space junk. I’ve seen that a few times before but not as big - very cool though I’m glad they caught it!
Space Junk, thank you scientist
Yea and Elon has mice crawling on his rockets that are traveling into orbit. Sure bud.
The Lord Marshal and the Necromongers
That’s a bad ass movie!
Just watched it for the hundredth time last night!!!!
Have you ever watched the first one?
I was a fan as soon as I saw it. I bought the Blueray series for Christmas.
Its Ming the Merciless.
With all the weirdness going on in The world, listening to these kids made me smile! The excitement is so wonderful and "normal".
Thank you for this look through a child's eyes. It IS amazing!
It's a nice break from the bullshit
Resembles Columbia's debris when it broke up on launch
Columbia broke up on re-entry but you are correct, this is absolutely a satellite breakup upon re-entry.
Dad in the video demonstrates he knows nothing by claiming it to be a comet.
I remember that. You could see it, even in the daytime .
Let alone 10 comets all at the same time in the same vicinity. That WOULD BE biblical.
More illegal aliens!
Elon Musk just came.
So that's what this is footage of!
I thought it was the autobots arriving to earth so they can defeat the cabal for us. Optimus Prime was in the front.
Think about how good the video could have been if he had just held his phone correctly.
That's that dumbass tesla roadster comin' home
Ah... Come on man!...That's the new Biden Space exploration program... I think he for got to tell you that he moved "Area 51" to Oregon... LMFAO
cool looking
Cow farts! Definitely cow farts!
Wouldn’t be as fun if they knew it was nuc debris...

Looks like orbital debris crashing.
Just another weather balloon.
